We have been to WDW 4 times and will be making our 5th trip next week! We have always stayed offsite for more space so we have never visited any of the onsite Disney resorts. We will have a car and were thinking of visiting a few of the resorts as I hear they are pretty amazing. Any that you would recommend that have must see decor/theming?

All the Deluxes and maybe Art of Animation if you have young children with you.

Any specific/unique features at certain resorts? like a beautifully landscaped flower garden? statue? wall art? etc. Thanks!

Contemporary is great. You can ride the monorail loop around. There are great restaurants/lounges (the Wave is really good.) Lots of places to sit and relax.

AKL. I have not been here, but it is on my list. Supposed to be amazing restaurants and views. You can see the animals from somewhere in the resort.

Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge would be at the top of my list.

You can have a tough time parking at Deluxe resorts if you don't have an ADR.
With food and wine, they are extra-strict at the Epcot area resorts.

If you already paid for park parking, you can park at the TTC and walk to Poly.

Otherwise, It might be a little easier parking at WL, check out that great lobby, hen you can take a boat to the contemporary and take the monorail from there.

All of the deluxes. Do the monorail loop to see Poly, GF and CR. At CR, you can catch a boat to WL (which is gorgeous) and Ft. W (which is a mod, but still great to visit!). At Ft. W you can see the Tri-Circle D ranch where they house all of the WDW horses.

Visit AKL - it's amazing.

Take a walk around the Boardwalk to see all of the EP resorts. It's especially fun at night when they have entertainment on the Boardwalk.
