Resort Holiday Decorations

Would love to know too. We arrive on 11/19 for 8 nights. I think, at a minimum, they will go up after Thanksgiving.

We were there the week of Thanksgiving last year and everything was up and in full swing already!!!:thumbsup2

Oh, that's good news. Thanks.

Was it packed and crazy?

We arrived the Saturday before Thanksgiving and the crowds were manageable thru Wednesday, then it was jam packed for the rest of the week. Be sure and pack for cold weather. Our forecast for last year was temp in the 60-70 range, it was in the fifties most of the week.:cold:

Thanks, Kathy. I know the weather can be iffy in November, but this is a last minute treat for us and I will be happy no matter what. When we were last in Disney, it was unbearably hot, so the cooler weather can be nice for touring.

I guess we should avoid the parks on Thanksgiving Day--sounds like it will be very crowded then.

We were at the Swan last year at this time and we had snow flurries one night! I spent a fortune on warm ups and swetashirts for everybody. You're totally on as far as the crowds. For that reason, this year, we're moving to the Portofino at Universal the day before Thanksgiving.

We arrive 11/19 for 9 nights at the Poly. Where will you be? I too am very happy about the decorations being up.

You're welcome! We were the same way we didn't care how cold it was we were having a ball! I wouldn't avoid the parks Thanksgiving day, just get there early if you can and then head back to your resort when the crowds get really bad.:)

We saw the snow flurries too, I thought I'd had one too many glasses of Sangria, but the weathermen confirmed it!:rotfl: I too spent a fortune on jackets and sweats for all of us. We decided to go the week after Thanksgiving this year, we're going 11/25 - 12/6. Can't wait!!!:woohoo:

Hey, maybe we could plan us a mini DIS meet for all who have posted on this thread.

I cannot wait to see the decorations. I never been to Disney when they have been out. I have usually been to Disney for Super Soap and never at the end of the month.

Try and get to some of the resorts especially the GF and WL, but they all have amazing decorations. The Christmas music playing everywhere is awesome!!:thumbsup2

We are staying at the Dolphin. We try to stay at the Epcot resorts since it is fairly convenient to get around. We set it up last minute this time and all was booked except for the Dolphin. We got a great rate, so I am happy about it.

Kim, I agree with Kathy that you should try to see the resort decorations. WL is especially nice. Also, don't miss Osborne lights and the extra at the end of Illuminations. Both are fantastic.

Kathy, where are you staying?

I noticed on the disney web site under MGM the information on Osborne spectacle of lights says that it starts Nov. 12. That would indicate to me that most if not all decorations for the parks and resorts will probably be up by then. If nothing else MGM will be decorated.
