Resort Holiday Decorations

I'm sure this has been asked and answered a few times so please forgive me if i've missed the posting.

We will be at WDW Dec 30 to Jan 4 and taking a few "first timers" with us, wondering how long after christmas do the resort holiday decorations stay up?

I have heard that they start taking down the resort decorations the 1st week of January.

I love seeing the resorts all done up in their holiday finery - its so pretty and it will be nice if we are able to share some of these beautiful sights with our friends.

Be sure to hit the WL and GF before they start taking anything down. You don't want to miss that awesome tree at the WL or the gingerbread house at the GF. I would try to book a Candlelight Package if at all possible at EPCOT for the 30th or the 31st - it is spectacular and not to be missed. And be sure to head over to MGM for the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. Have fun New Year's Eve.

Last year we checked in POFQ on Jan 1st and the holiday decorations were gone 2 days later.

thanks for the suggestions, we are hoping to do MK Dec 30th for the evening Parade, wishes and fantasy in the Sky fireworks so before going into the park (which i'm sure is going to be a zoo) we'll have to take the monorail resort "cocktail tour". dont thing i've ever seen the poly decorated for the holidays
