We have been to DL many many times from about 15 years ago until 4 years ago when we moved from AZ to Iowa. (then we've been to DW 3 times). We always stayed in hotels just for a few days, but now we are a family of 6 and that just doesn't cut it. We want to go back to California and since my grandma had a timeshare and there are resorts close to DL now that we can trade into, I would love to hear any reviews of the Dolphin Cove resort in Anaheim. (wish we could RCI trade into a DL resort, but I hear that is next to impossible).

Also, we are thinking of Oct or Nov, and days to avoid, and weeks to go (we will be staying a week, going to DL 4 days and avoiding weekends).

Thanks for your help and I cannot wait to return!

we stayed there about three trips ago and really liked it.. we usually stay at the Worldmark on Katella, which is their sister hotel. its much smaller and a bit older, but still nice.. we always get a suite ,ours had a small gulley kitchen.. a rather large living room with a pull out sofa.. and sliding doors onto a smallish private area . 1 large master room with ensuite and big closet.. and then the second room had two twin beds. with closet . we were on the lower level.. the pool was good. although I didn't partake, my family did and had fun.. the check in was painless and staff very helpful. right next door on the corner of Orangewood ave and Harbor is a Dennys.. across the road is a service station . and a little bit up the road is a Carls Jr. if I'm remembering correctly.. the next major intersection is W Chapman Ave and if you go left from Harbor and down aways you will come across a Vons (safeway) on the corner of Harbor and W Chapman is Target this is across the road from the Sheraton. Disneyland is within walking distance from The Dolphins Cove. but it is a long walk.. we take the ART. the bus stop is right in front of the Travel lodge I believe it is route 1 unless they have changed it since our last trip.. on the way back we could also take route 3 , and get off in front of double tree guest suites and just cross the road. I'm thinking to buy the tickets we had to get them from the Travel lodge.. but I cant remember.. you can buy them online if you need, they will send them out to you.

I would stay there again, we had a great stay there, felt very safe and wasn't too much of a pain to get to the parks and back.. we rented a car for some of our stay and had no trouble parking. it was free for its guests.

I have the Worldmark timeshare. We stayed at Dolphin's Cove before the new big one was built. It was quite nice! Much nicer than the shady Motel 6 we just stayed at!!

Too far to walk, but it's nice to have a kitchen and separate bedrooms.

The WM resorts in Anaheim fill up fast!

Do they offer a continental breakfast?

Is there a certain area we should request to stay in?

We're booked Dec 3-10 with 3 rooms

I don't believe they do - you get a kitchen in your condo.

The area doesn't really matter - I don't recall any one area being better than another.
