What kind of food items are available at the resort gift shops? Or do you have to go to the food court for any and all food. I am staying at POFQ in December for the first time and was wondering?

Most resort gift shops carry basic items (milk, bread, juices, snacks, etc...). Can't say specifically about POFQ though.

Always check both the food court and the gift shop for items that are in both. We found the gift shop to be cheaper for things like drinks (because when you are in the food court, you want your drink now, not later and are willing to pay for it).

The gift shop will have basic items while the food court will have "normal" food in the grab and go section - like fruit and cheese plate and salads. I compare the two as the gift shop has things you have to open while the food court has things you can eat right away with no effort.

They have bagels, donuts, bread, peanut butter and the like. They also have milk, drinks and some cold food items. Like the others have said, all is much cheaper in the shop than the food court. We purchased a bag of 6 bagels for about 3.00 and used them for a few days breakfasts. In the food court they are about 2. each.

DVC resort gift shops have an even better selection because it is a home away from home resort with kitchens. There you can get eggs, bacon, frozen foods, bread, butter, etc....
