Resort Game - Let's play

Yup, you are right. They had to add the red blinking light when they added mickey's hand. Before the hand, Spaceship Earth was not 200 feet tall. But this doesn't take away from it because it already has lots of lights.

Now you get to ask a question! :)

Just to keep things moving - I will ask a new question.....

At the Contemporary Resort how many stories tall is the Tower, and how many guest rooms does it have?

The tower is 14 stories tall. The entire hotel including the garden wings has 1041 rooms. I believe the tower alone has approximately 500 rooms. Good enough??:earsboy:

If so... which hotel has a Mickey Sorcerer shaped bush outside???

supamaki

Where are you?

Is catheren correct?

If not, how about a clue?

Opps, sorry I didn't check back soon enough. Yes, the Contemporary is the right answer. The Sorcerer Mickey is out back by the pool area. Next question??

This is neither an answer or a question, but I just had to write. I have spent the last hour reading all 18 pages of this thread, and I am TOTALLY amazed and astounded at all of you! How do you know all this information? I thought I knew a lot about Disney, but you guys put me to shame! This thread has been a lot of fun. Thanks for all the new information I have learned and my hats off to all of you! I am so impressed! Bobbi :)

Thanks Bobbi, some of it is from repeated visits, and some is from books on Disney. I think we are all addicted:)

Next question???

Okay, which hotel has a doorman who greets you when you enter? 10 extra points for his first name!

I thought that was asked already. Isn't it The Beach Club?
I forgot what the name was already. I'm not very good at this.
OK here goes one:
Coming from MGM, What is the scheduled amount of time it takes to travel on the Friendship boat from the Swan/Dolphin to The Board Walk?
Hint...It's the reason a lot of people get off at S/D and walk over the bridge to the BW.

Yes, the answer is the Beach Club. The doorman's name is Art.

next trip: December 2001, AK Lodge

Umm, well I know the boat stops at the Yacht/Beach Club first and then the Boardwalk. I would say 15 minutes?? Walking from S/D is definitely quicker.

Thats pretty close supamaki. The exact time is 18 minutes. The only reason I know this is on our last trip the CM operating the boat told everyone that "if you are walking over to the BW we will see you there in 18 minutes". I later asked about this and they said that was the estimated scheduled time it takes.
The walk is about 5 minutes so that leaves you 13 minutes longer to enjoy the BW.
I think you should ask the next question supamaki.

To keep us rolling!

What resort opened in August 1988 as WDW's 5th resort hotel? (Hint - it could be considered the flagship of all WDW resorts.)

Would that be GF? I thought it was built earlier but I think it is considered the Flagship hotel of WDW.
