I need expert advice, please. I am a WDW veteran but have never stayed on property (gasp!). We'd love to do some resort hopping this trip to dream and see how the other half lives LOL!! What are some fun activities available to non-resort guests that my DSs will enjoy and will enable DH and me to soak in some of the resort environment. PS at Whispering Canyon is a must! What other suggestions do you all have? We'll be there in May. Thanks in advance!

Although you will not be able to use the swimming pools at the different resorts, there still are activites you can do. The mods and deluxes have bikes, surreys, pontoons, sprites, fishing, and horse back riding that can be done there. Po-riverside has the fishing hole. There are great trails to ride bikes at FW/WL. Good place to work off all the food you just ate at Whispering Canyon. Horses can be found at FW. Along with movies and smores with Chip and Dale in the evenings under the stars.

Resturants at each of the resorts also have their own flavors that match the resort. Haven't found one that we would not go back to. Check out Beaches and Cream at BC and try the 'Kitchen Sink". They also have great hamburgers and sandwiches.

We enjoy just walking around the grounds and having a soda or something around the pool and just hanging out. There are great places to just relax if you look for them.

Have fun exploring the different resorts.

Once you do the resort hopping you also can check out with ones that you may want to try. This becomes very addicting. Once you stay on property you never go back. The resorts are wonderful. You will want to stay at them all.

After dinner at Boma last summer, we strolled the savannah overlook area outside at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The CMs out there were wonderful and when my son had a giraffe question that couldn't be answered, they phoned into their education center for him. We were also invited to stay for the storytelling but unfortunately we had plans to go elsewhere that evening. We thought the AKL was a great place to visit and would in fact love to stay there sometime. Happy exploring! ;)
