Resort for last day - best pool?

We are staying at POP but our last day is not a park day and we’d like to spend it relaxing with good pool amenities. So am thinking of moving resort for that last night to one with a good relaxing pool and amenities. Can you all throw me some ideas for which resort you think would be the best option? :beach:

For additional info: on that day I have ADRs already booked for Homecomin for lunch, Beaches & Cream mid afternoon for a sundae, and STK Orlando for dinner, but happy to change up everything except Beaches if plans change :-)

Well considering your ADR's & the wish to have a really nice pool, I would consider Boradwalk. You are a 5 minute walk to Beaches & Cream. Now when we stayed there my kids did not like the clown pool so we stayed at the quiet pool - that had an amazing community hall right next to it! My kids loved the community hall there. Also, we had a room facing the Star Wars fireworks which was awesome.

I didn't recommend Beach or Yacht club because i'm not the biggest fan of storm along bay - it felt like a big sandbar to me, not a pool that you could swim in.

I love the pool at Wilderness Lodge! The waterfall and woodsy touches make it feel like you're not in Florida, plus you have beautiful views of the lagoon.

You’re transferring resorts for one night, but you’ve got 3 ADR’s booked. Your ADR’s will go from DS to the BC and back to DS all in one day. When is the pool time? :confused3

Can cancel the lunch and have late morning all the way up to the B&C booking - then back for a swim before dinner... ::yes::

I feel like if you really want to do this, stay at the BC/YC, cancel DS and book a dinner on the Boardwalk.

You might want to try to rent points for Saratoga Springs resort, or stay at one of the resorts that you could boat to the Springs, my kids loved the POR pool. Ditch Beaches and Cream and go to Ghiradelli instead for your sundays.

No matter what - cancel the sundae, this is lots of travel time for 2 meals and a snack! If this is your first trip you should know that the bus to DS from anywhere can take an hour each way, a car will save some time but I still wouldn't do both lunch and dinner at DS if you want to swim.

If your going to Epcot or HS during your tripo you can take the trip to Beaches and Cream for a Sundae that day or even better (IMHO) try Ample Hills at the BW - ice cream is even better and no ADR necessary.

Honestly if it were me I would skip the lunch ADR and have a nice CS meal at the resort you choose to swim at and then book a meal for Dinner - maybe keep one of the DS ADR's.

As for pools I would suggest, Beach Club, Dolphin (or Swan) or WL for great pools, alternately ALK has a great pool with the advantage of the animal viewing and other great activities for kids.

Finally keep in mind that you won't have access to your room to shower and change until at least 3/4 pm if you switch for just the one day.

Our kids liked the pool at the BWI. We really enjoy the EPCOT resort area. I too would cancel DS dinner and eat around the BW or in the Dolphin or Swan - an easy walk. We love the nightlife at the BWI - it is so much fun. You can get ice cream at Ample Hill which is on the boardwalk - so delicious. The BC/YC does have a great pool but it does get very crowded.
So I would pick a EPCOT hotel.

Most people would disagree but we like OKW. We are going here in September. One of the reasons is we just like to be able to relax by the pool in the afternoon for some down time. Maybe not the most exciting pool but the Sandcastle slide is nice. There is also several quiet pools. It is only a 20 minute boat ride to DS. The rooms are huge. Rent points for 1 night. A studio for a night would be very affordable. you didn't mention the size of the accomodations you need so I am assuming a studio.

If B&C is non negotiable, I would stay at BC or YC. You can swim all day, have QS right at the pool and B&C is right there. I would ditch DS altogether so you can eat at an EP resort and enjoy the entertainment on the Boardwalk.

Alternatively, have you considered staying at Pop and simply purchasing water park tickets for your last day? You could then go to DS for dinner and sundaes at Ghiradellis in the evening.

I’d book a night at Beach Club or Yacht Club and cancel the lunch ADR. Swim all day with a break for Beaches & Cream. Head to Disney Springs for dinner if that’s something you’ve been looking forward to.

We really like the pool at POR. It is also a boat ride away from DS and the ride is really nice and relaxing. The whole resort is relaxing. I’d give it consideration.

I’d stay at BC/YC, and cancel both DS ADRs. When are you going to fit in pool time? I’d grab a lunch at the quick service at the pool, or something from The Marketplace in BC, have your sundae at B&C and make a dinner ADR either at BC/YC or Boardwalk area.

I agree with this! The pool at the BC/YC is my favorite...very easy to spend a day there. :) You could do the Yachtmans steakhouse for dinner.

Since you asked....you are planning to change resorts for one day, and you say it is to use the pool, so whereever you more to, get rid of all the running around on that day. I like BC for the pool, and probably would choose to stay there. The pool is pretty awesome, and there is a lot in the area so you do not need to travel. This is especially important since B&C is non negotiabl.

The deluxe resorts are pricy so why plan to skip around when ou are paying a premium for the amenities? I would book dinner on the Boardwalk, so I had the full day at the resort.

Thanks so much everyone for your great suggestions. If we change that last night it will likely be Yacht Club as both DH and I like the look of it. It’s a big price jump for that 1 night though, and DH is understandably a bit grumpy watching the budget go up.

We are going to sleep on it - and I can’t do changes to our booking online, so will have to phone them to make the change tomorrow if we decide to do that. Then will likely give up the DS lunch but keep the B&C for a quick break away from the pool in the afternoon. Still thinking on the dinner - could make it a bit later to give us more afternoon time at the pool before showering and changing...
