Resort for 8 people, kid friendly?

I'm looking for a condo/ suite for 4 adults, 4 children (ages 9, 7, 5, 2). Would like there to be a nice pool with a water slide or other kid friendly amenities. Trying to keep costs under $1200 for a week in October (18-25). What would you recommend?

Windsor Hills. Has a beautiful pool with waterslide and is very close to all the parks.

Love Orange Lake. We stayed there in Dec and March this past year. We just rebooked to go back march 2015. We loved it. We just rented a week for around $850 US. Found it on tug2.net.

Sheraton Vistana Resort would fit what you are looking for. The two bedroom villas in most sections of the resort sleep 8, with a king in the master, 2 doubles in the 2nd bedroom, and a queen pullout in the living room.

The resort offers 7 different pools, each with a unique feature (one has a slide, two have waterfalls, one has splash fountains, one shows poolside movies, etc.). Their playgrounds are awesome, and there are several located throughout the resort. There's a mini golf course right on site, and another one across the road (Hawaiian Rumble). The FUN Team hosts scheduled activities for all ages every day, from pool parties to kid-friendly bingo.

Location is excellent, too....right around the corner from DTD, and within minutes of the SW and Universal parks.

We stayed at a place called WorldQuest resort in a 3 bed 3 bath villa. It can sleep 8 and you can get one with a pull out couch. We got a AAA discount but I want to say with all expense, taxess and fees we paid $150 a day.

What actually convinced me to go with them were their reviews on Trip Advisor. At the time they were ranked 6th out of all hotels in Orlando. They aren't as highly ranked now, but still highly ranked and many people had the same remarks like "Hidden Gem " or " We won't stay anywhere else." The great majority of the reviews were absolutely glowing. We found that to be the case for us. We had some very minor issues, but were resolved quickly.

Although they had a nice pool, there wasn't a waterslide.

Caribe Royale is also a nice resort. Close to disney. The villas have a full kitchen washer dryer 2 full baths daily maid service free parking no resort fees. It is really a nice resort and many good offers through Mousesavers.com

Regal Palms has great amenities- zero entry pool, weekly pool side movie, slide, lazy river, Tiki bar, game room. You can find very reasonable rates for a 4 bed town that time of year.

My only piece of advice would be to rent from an owner direct so you know exactly which home you will be staying in.

We have traveled with 8 for years.(wide age range)We've tried Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, Floridastay, Windsor Hills, Sheraton Vist., and several hotels. Our favorite by far is Bonnet Creek. The resort is really nice, kids love the pools, and the oldest in our group love the lake. The units are large and updated. Its also very secure. I understand its not a Disney hotel but it's as close as you can get and the biggest bargain inside the gates. A much better deal than the value resorts, especially when traveling with a big group. Watching fireworks from a big balcony is so sweet, especially when you've saved a ton of money!!! Have a great trip.
