Resort for 2nd Honeymoon

We have a big anniversary next year and are considering a WDW trip w/o the kids. We last stayed onsite 25 years ago. We would probably stay 2 nights, do MK, Epcot and maybe one other park. Ideally, we would want easy transportation to the parks and a resort that is somewhat romantic. I am thinking the value resorts are probably not worth considering, but moderate resorts may be worth looking at. Of the deluxe resorts, I would probably only seriously consider the Contemporary for price/nostalgia. I am also wondering if the Dolphin/Swan or DTD Hilton have enough Disney magic to consider. We won't be going until March or next summer. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The Polynesian is very romantic as well as the Coronado Springs...congratulations on your milestone anniversary!

march and summer are both high season - so you would be paying alot for the room

how about Sept or Jan.

value - happen to think Pop is romantic - it has a lake.

moderate - POR or POFQ - but others think CSR or CBR

deluxe - CR or new BLT (dvc resort) you could rent a reservation from a DVC member and save you some money.

Unfortunately, we have to go during high season because we have a son in high school. We will need to take him to stay with Grandma during our trip. For a variety of reasons, grandparents cannot stay with him at our house.

I didn't realize Pop had kings, but just checked and now see that it does, so that may be a possibility.

Most deluxe seem out of my price range, but will check into renting through a DVC member. How would I go about doing that?

I wouldn't consider Pop to be romantic at all. POFQ would be my first choice, bu then it always would.

POFQ is romantic as is POR in evening as far as mods go...my sis stayed FQ adnd loved it...boat to DTD a plus....
