What is this fee for? In other words what are you getting for the money you are paying????

Not sure which resort you are talking about. Disney owned hotels have a room rate and tax but no "resort fee." Swan/Dolphin has a resort fee which is a charge for a paper to your room, health club use and some other things and I believe that one can waived upon request (and you give up those extras). Other non-Disney hotels may also have a resort fee that may cover things similar to S/D.

Well, Dona Momma, I'm unclear as to what resort yer staying at, but I know that the S/D have a daily charge to cover use of fitness center, daily paper delivery and other such resort features...I think they charge something like 7-8 buck per day.
Hope this helps! :)

It really depends what resort you're staying at, but it's usually 7-9 bucks a day, which is not too bad.

$7.00 to $8.00 for the use of fitness area and a paper.

WOW!

I am sorry, but I think we will be getting enough exercise by walking around the parks all day, swimming in the pools.

I was talking about the resort fee for S/D resorts.

Hopefully we can get that waived. We will only be staying there for one night, since we are moving to Grand Floridian for the rest of our stay.
