Hello,
I am trying to find a good restaraunt on our Epcot day, there are such limited choices and my husband doesn't like the traditional roast beef type of buffets or family style meals (picky picky picky : )
I was looking at OHana and that looked great and was included in the plan, advice/ is it good? How is the food? Kona Cafe also looked good.
Are there resort restaraunts I'm missing that would be good that are included in the plan?
We are staying at POP so it needs to be a manageable way to get there using transportation. I was thinking with Polynesian (I've never been there before). I guess we could get on the bus to Epcot and then hop the monorail over?? How lengthy is this? Is it worth it or should we just suck it up and eat at Rose and Crown even though the reviews are poor. Thanks, any advice/ help is appreciated.

O'Hana's is fabulous but it is a family style served meal. It definitely would be one I would choose over Rose and Crown, although i do enjoy them also. Just being able to order a Lapu Lapu is worth having dinner at O'Hana's LOL!!!

O.K. I have to ask, what is Lapu Lapu? They serve "meals on sticks" correct? Do you order what you want or do they just bring out a few of each. Do they have good sides that go with them? How are deserts?
Thanks!

Spoodles is on the dining plan list....you can walk there easily from the International Gateway at EPCOT....it is an EXCELLENT place to eat, not usually crowded and the kids will love the Boardwalk after dinner (street magicians, jugglers, etc...it is a really fun place to walk around) It is also an excellent value for your dining credit....they have a paella to die for that runs $25 (just for the entre) I think....excellent appetizers and deserts...so you get a lot of bang for your buck with the dining plan...in fact I think it is better than some of the signature places that use 2 credits and Spoodles is only 1.. You can always take the boat back to EPCOT if you are too full to walk after dinner!! Lovely ride at night.

Kona Cafe is excellent--we think it is one of the best Disney restaurants, and like the food MUCH better than O'Hana. Spoodles is also a good choice, and would be easier to get to from Epcot. But there's nothing wrong with the Rose and Crown either!

We are going on the MYW dining plan during the last week of April, and all three of the above are on our list!!

Spoodles sounds great, great idea, thank you. I haven't been to Epcot in ages. Can you tell me how to get to the international gateway? If we leave from POP and take the bus to dinner would you recommend taking the bus to Epcot, entering the park and then going to this international gateway (wherever that is)? Any detail you can give me for getting there from the Main entrance at Epcot would be so helpful. Thanks.

I thought you were planning to already be in EPCOT. The International Gateway is the back entrance to EPCOT, by England. You can walk or take a boat to the EPCOT resorts. If you're planning to have dinner and then enter EPCOT you could take the bus to the studios then walk or take a boat. It'll save you the long walk through EPCOT.
