Resort dilemma

Okay, we are planning on going to Disney early December. We currently have reservations at SOG, thanks to my FIL who is retired military. He is supposed to be going with us. A week ago, he fell, breaking his hip. He's home now recovering, but the doctors say at least a 3 month recovery period. Now he has very bad arthritis, and would be in a wheelchair for the trip anyway, but still, DH and are afraid that he may not be able to go on the trip. IF that happens, we need to find an alternate resort to stay in. We will be paying around $97 a night at SOG... can anyone offer an alternative that will be close in price, but a nice place to stay?

i am not sure what discounts you qualify for, but the port orleans riverside is GREAT!

also, those are the PRETTIEST little girls i have ever seen.

Is the Port Orleans Riverside the old Dixie Landings? DH and stayed at Dixie Landings on our honeymoon.

Yep, that used to be Dixie Landings. I also like CBR or French Quarter. Another option might be Wilderness Lodge if the codes are deep enough.

Ditto on the cutey pies. Watch out when they turn 16.

All the moderates are pretty nice and if you check out Mousesavers.com, you might be able to get some discounts.

We've stayed at PO-French Quarter (old Port Orleans) and Coronado Springs. Both were very nice, and had great amenities.

Both places are great-but my favorite is PO-I still call it Dixie Landings. Great atmosphere for both kids and adults!
Great deals now on them!
