We have 2 days we are not planning to go to the parks on our upcoming trip in November.

What are the odds we could walk up to an Table Service restaurants?
Which ones would you try?

The plan is to swim if warm enough, explore the holiday decorations, shop at Downtown Disney. We would prefer not to be tied down to one place at a certain time.

Any advice is welcome!

It largely depends on where you want to eat and when you want to eat. I think you could probably get a walk-up at most of the DTD restaurants. There might be a wait, but I don't think they turn away folks unless something major is happening.

For the resorts, it's probably likely that walk-ups will be available for the the less popular venues. My guess says that it's even more likely if you go to one of the TS venues at the moderates (e.g., Olivia's, Boatwrights, Turf Club). I wouldn't plan on walking up to the character meals, 'Ohana, or the Signature venues, unless you were willing to eat very late (e.g., 9:00 pm or later).

If you're visiting the monorail resorts to see the holiday decorations The Wave at CR and maybe the Grand Floridian Cafe at the GF are possibilities. For the Epcot resorts, ESPN and Big River Grill don't take reservations. If you're shopping at DTD most of the TS restaurants accept walk ups. Also, many of the lounges attached to restaurants in the resorts have either a limited menu or allow you to order from the adjacent restaurant's menu and none of them take reservations.
