Resort conveniences

We stayed at art animation last November the travel convenience with buss was great quick one stop, plus the Disney skyline open quick access to two parks and the food court was in quick walking distance .. I’m looking into moderate resorts but reading long and multiple bus stops can anyone give input on port Orleans ?

Port Orleans French Quarter has one dedicated bus and bus stop and does not share with PO Riverside which has multiple stops. Stayed at French Quarter a few years ago and really loved it. The first day I walked over to Riverside to check out the pools (you can use pools at both PO resorts) and it was a very, very long walk. I'm not saying I wouldn't stay at Riverside, it is a very nice resort, but here's where I stand given the same price:

1. POFQ
2. AoA
3. POR

If POR was significantly less money, though I would take that. The bus situation there is better than it was for us at Carribean Beach (before the Skyliner).

As mentioned, POFQ has one stop like AoA. POR has multiple stops like CBR. Are the multiple stops a problem? To me, not really. In fact, many of the deluxes share buses and therefore do more than one stop. When I stayed at the GF we shared with the Polynesian. At the Contemporary we shared with WL. At the YC we also stopped at BC and sometimes even the Boardwalk or the Swan/Dolphin. I prefer one bus stop that goes directly to the park and back, but I wouldn't consider multiple bus stops to be a deal breaker. I've stayed at CBR, POR, and SSR, all of which have multiple internal stops and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at those resorts again. If you want to avoid multiple bus stops and are willing to pay a little more to do so, try POFQ instead of POR.

I would go with POFQ over POR if you want to try a Port Orleans resort, but be aware they do share buses at times which can be a huge pain (at least they did last year when I stayed there and I noticed this year that several parks have both the Port Orleans resorts at the same bus stop). Personally, I would say the bus service the times we've stayed at a value resort have been our best experiences.

As the PP poster mentioned, I don't really find the multiple bus stops when you're going to the parks in the morning to be a big deal unless you're in a scooter or wheelchair and you have to wait for multiple buses to have room. The Port Orleans resorts overall are great resorts with very nice rooms and amenities. But when staying at POR, we ended up just giving up on the buses altogether and taking Ubers to save us the headache.

I prefer the one bus stop at POFQ over the multiple stops at POR.

As others have mentioned, one bus stop at POFQ is nice. We stayed there last summer and only ended up sharing with POR a couple of times in the middle of the day leaving the parks. We never had to wait for a second bus coming or going to the parks, except leaving MK a couple times.
POR I avoid the South (Main) depot in the morning. It's the last stop and most people go there after stopping by the food court. We've seen multiple full buses unable to pick up more guests in the morning at that stop. We've always stayed in the mansions, and even the East depot is better than the south.
