We will be at WDW Nov 24-28 and would love to check out the other resorts Christmas Decorations. Which decorations are not to miss? Is there a gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian? Would love to hear any suggestions! We are staying at POR. :)

No they don't have a Gingerbread house at the GF. OOPs O.K. maybe they do :cool1:

I mean who wants to see all this junk???? :cool1:

The Wilderness Lodge is awesome and has a 5 story tree with bear decorations and beautifully lit garland everywhere and is my not miss. I go to the WL every year at this time because it is so beautiful. Try to go at night so you can get the effect of the outside and inside decorations. Just take the boat from the MK to the resort. The GF will have the lifesize Gingerbread house with elves selling gingebread cookies and hot chocolate. The decorations at the GF are very Victorian with gold and deep magenta everywhere. Just take the monorail for the MK. While you are on the monorail continue on to the Polynesian for the Hawaiian theme and then on to the Contemporary for the sleek 50s look. The Boardwalk and Yacht and Beach are also nice and you can walk outside the World showcase at EPCOT to see those. The Animal Kingdom Logde is also beautiful with an African theme, just take the bus from the AK after you've done the park that day. Those are my picks. Have a wonderful time.

We are also going to do a resort decorations tour....I made it to the GF house last year....but we would like to see the Chocolate Carousel featured on the Food Channel.

Can't remember, tho....which of the Epcot resorts has it?

:confused3 :wizard: :confused3

There was a chocolate village at the BWI, not sure if it's an every year occurance.

We stayed at WL in December 2004, I thought it was beautiful but one day we dropped over at AKL - now THAT blew us away, their lobby is gorgeous.

Thanks for all the suggestions!! I think my boys would love the chocolate Carousel. :) Getting excited. :dance3: :dancer: :jumping1:

Don't forget to see the tree at the Dophin it is huge. All the above are not to be missed either. They all have something different. Of course my best is WL IMHO

Hi Ya'll

We're waiting to go home......WL in 19 days and our DS is not coming with us, because he's a Senior in High School and he has school. But......the only thing he has asked us to do while we are on this trip is to please, please bring him a Gingerbread house or have one shipped home :teeth: He said he's not sharing either..............not even a shingle....maybe the chimney he said :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Nov. 25th is just around the corner........... :woohoo:

That Gingerbread house @ GF is beautiful, and the carousel doesn't even look like it's made of chocolate, hummmmmmmmmm sure does look good enough to eat though. :teeth:

When will all these gorgeous dercorations be going up? My guess is not until the end of November since I will be there next week! I would love to see these for myself!

Oh well, maybe another time . . .

I read somewhere that a lot of the decorations are already up at the resorts so you should be able to see them this month. As to the resorts I would visit: GF, AKL, WL, CSR, YC, BC, BWI in that order. Unless the CR has upped it's decorations from the last several years I wouldn't even bother going there. The Poly doesn't do it ofr me either.

I just read that Main St USA in the MK is fully decorated in Christmastime splendor. The first MVMCP at the MK is 11/16 so they must have had to get that done and now they can move on the other parks. Hopefully all that are going now will get to see everything. It is the Magical time of the year at Disney.

We will be there from Jan 2-7. Will the resort decorations still be up during any of that time?

Thanks

all I can say is WOW, I cannot wait to see them for my self thanks for the great thread.

Faline: yes youwill be able to see the decorations. You will be there when they start coming down.
