A couple details would help.

Make up of your party?
When are you going?
Spend more time at MK or Epcot/DHS?

Beach Club.

YC feels a little too grandparent-isn for me, and WL is currently a construction zone.

Yes, this. Unless you have a particularly strong affinity for a certain theme (beachy, nautical, woodsy), my answer would depend entirely on which theme park you want to be close to.

All three resorts have a lot of recreational offerings, all three have a lot of dining options nearby.

Beach Club - walk to EPCOT, fabulous pool, boat to HS nice size rooms

Beach Club. It's so much more lively than YC and it's closer to EP for Food & Wine. WL is under construction and is too inconvenient if your goal is to go to F&W.

Another vote for the Beach Club. It is the closest to Epcot, the pool is terrific, and the ambience is less stuffy then the YC.

Without the construction, I would say WL, we absolutely LOVED it there, it just feels very comfortable and home ish, but with the constructions may not be so great.

I would also choose Beach Club, especially since you are going during F&W. Being able to walk to Epcot in minutes is wonderful in itself. Beach Club is beautiful. We have never stayed there, but we will be in a couple of weeks. I love the rooms since they were redone - beautiful! Can't beat that pool either. The main reason we booked BC this trip was because of the close proximity to Epcot and DHS, but mainly Epcot since we visit that park the most.

We've stayed at BC and WL and the WL is our favorite of the two. We prefer the MK area as well as the theme/decor of the WL over BC. With that said, if convenience is a priority, BC would be the better choice as it's a quick 5 minute walk to Epcot.

there will be two of us, not until sept. 2017...for food fest.

Oh, then absolutely the Beach Club, with Yacht Club a close second. Take WL right off the list. BC is the closest resort to the World Showcase, where most of the Food & Wine Festival happens. It's an easy walk right into the International Gateway from BC.

I too would say Beach Club. It is most convenient to EPCOT (walk) and Hollywood Studios (boat) and the lazy river pool area is lots of fun.

Beach Club, no question. I've stayed there on numerous occasions, and it never disappoints. Stormalong Bay is easily the best pool on property, and the only one that is strictly monitored to ensure non-guests aren't at. The convenience of entrance into EPCOT via the International Gateway is such a huge plus. It's super fun to hop over to the Boardwalk at night for a drink or snack, which you're directly across from. And the overall atmosphere is phenomenal.

That all said, Beach and Yacht are pretty comparable as they are sister resorts and literally connected to each other, offering basically all the same ammenities such as Stormalong Bay and easy access to EPCOT, so that would really be your preference based on decor. I prefer Beach due to the light colors and laid back atmosphere, whereas Yacht is a little less casual with all dark wood and theming. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I've never had the good fortune, but some friends of mine from work stay at Beach Club most of the time, and they love it. This summer they decided last minute to go to WDW (weren't planning on it but the discounts kept calling to them). They had to book Yacht Club instead because Beach Club was full. So, I'm looking forward to hear what they thought.
Either one of those would be fantastic for F&W fest.

For 2 adults, The Yacht Club hands down. It has a quiet elegance, and is a great location for F&W. The Beach Club always seems "hectic" to me by comparison - perhaps because of Cape May & Beaches and Cream which are always busy.

We've had great stays at the YC, it's def in our top 3 favourite resorts. But that said, we are thinking we may just give the Beach Club a try this winter (for a part of a split stay) because the travel agency we use isn't offering a deal at the YC because of the reno's going on... Guess we could now have an actual comparison to go by! lol.

I would say Yacht Club for F&W festival with 2 adults. The beach club lobby is a madhouse of screaming kids, even our DD who was maybe a young tween back then commented on all the noise and preferred the YC lobby when we stayed there the next year. Plus lots of the BC rooms only have tiny Juliet balconies.
