resort choice questions

Can you remove one of the seats in the CRV? We folded a minivan seat and put the scooter there. I did not care for POFQ. We never got anywhere but the parking lot and bus pick up. There was no nice dining like the values, I couldn't even tell you how far the activities were, but I knew we had to ride the bus or drive to the main check in.
It did rain heavily all week too, so no walking about to really find he layout.

I like movies, nowhere is too far.i really like Dalmatian building. Love all the activity area for kids, gift shop, and food court.

We haven't stayed at POFQ in several years because we bought DVC, but we loved the resort when we stayed there. Has it changed so much since we were there? I remember POFQ as a small resort with everything in easy walking distance, and there was a nice counter service/food court area we enjoyed. If we wanted table service, we walked or rode the bus to the sister resort, PO Riverside, or we took the boat to DTD. I consider it a great resort for families with young children since it is nicely themed without being overly stimulating, has a nice, small pool, is compact enough to walk everywhere, and young kids enjoy seeing the boat pass by.

Then you stayed at PORS not POFQ. FOFQ only has one bus stop and the dining is like the values but bigger located in the building near the bus stop.

Hopefully someone can help me here. We are going to wdw Nov 10-17. First night we have a ro at asmo on the 10th then switching to POR on the 11th.. What is the best way to get from one resort to another with a scooter. We can't access our fd till we check-in to POR and so far the only way of doing this is to take the bus to dtd then switch to the resort bus to check-in. I would love to just go myself and do it but my mother is the one who booked the trip on her credit card and I assume the will need to see it along with I.d.

Usually, transfers @DTD are especially slow, and slowest in the morning.

I'd consider a cab- on request, an accessible cab is available: depending on your scooter, it may easily disassemble and fit in the trunk.

Thanks, I was thinking about this too but the last scooter she rented was big and I couldn't see how I can dismantle it. I just got off the phone with mears shuttle and they can transport the three of us with the scooter for about 20.00. Not a bad deal and I won't have to go thru the hassle of doing all those buses.

It very likely could have been PORS, it rained so bad that week we didn't go walking. We had a long drive to he gift shop, and I Lund an extreme expensive dining open. We drove offsite to eat.

Maybe trying POFQ would be better. The beds were much better the value, but its just a place to sleep for me, I would rather save cost.

take a bus to the studios and transfer there!!! The bus stops are much closer there and that park isn't very far from either of those resorts! The buses will run much more consisently there early in the day than at DTD. And the DTD bus will have three stops...typhoon lagoon, DTD Marketplace, and the old Pleasure island stop (forget what it's called now). Hollywood studios...one stop! Get off and transfer to your new resort's bus, much easier IMO!!

They will pick us up at the resort for 8am and bring us directly to por for only about twenty bucks. This way we won't lose any park time trying to load and unload my mother.(boy,that sounds horrible when I put it that way)

Glad you found an easy workable solution!! Yeah for $20, maximizing your park time is ideal. We just are not early risers!! LOL. Hope you have a wonderful trip!!!

When I had this situation I asked at the desk; they were sending our suit cases. I was told wait, they got a voucher and sent us, bags and scooter over in a cab as courtesy.

That would be great. When we check-in I'll find out if they will do this for us but I don't want to count on it. I want to have this arranged ahead of time so we can get picked up at 8am. And the cost isn't that bad either.
