Thank you all for this information as I’ve read that this service had been cancelled. Having had to move many times in the past, this service is one of the most important reason, IMHO, to stay at a Disney resort.

Luggage transfer was not cancelled. What was cancelled is transfer of perishables - medication or food that must be kept refrigerated or frozen. You have to transfer those yourself. You could pack them in a suitcase with ice and have BS transfer it, but that would be at your risk.Guess I should call guest services or DVC to be sure. We are using points for the first stay and paying cash for the rest. Thanks for all the information!!
When did this cancellation begin? We had milk and orange juice transferred from GF to YC in June of this year. Maybe we got lucky.Luggage transfer was not cancelled. I think it was first reported the weekend of July 24.When did this cancellation begin? We had milk and orange juice transferred from GF to YC in June of this year. Maybe we got lucky.
Were you thinking of the airport luggage transfers? Those were cancelled. But resort-to-resort is still providing this service. We did it recently.

Thanks for the info! We are headed back in October. We are not planning a split stay this time, but you never know.I think it was first reported the weekend of July 24.
That has been the policy for some time. The only luggage they delivered when the guest was not in the room was DME luggage - and they may have stopped that just before the pandemic, not sure. They need you there to be sure it’s the right room (and to collect their tip too).Just a note that you may need to be in the room in order for Bell Services to deliver your luggage. When I transferred to The Wilderness Lodge and called for my luggage, I was told that I need to be in the room when they arrived.
