Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

I get to share the romance with my kids and my parents. How enchanting! :rotfl:

where there's a will there's a way:laughing:

i was so bummed my 1st trip after my kids 'ditched' disney (it's okay, the oldest 2 have wised up & now beg to us 'my' points for trips, another reason I need to find good CRO deals for myself lol) then discovered even the values can be romantic on a ma & pa solo trip:love:

WDWKOOK Missed you. What a weekend you had! I think BWI sounds lovely. Read some of CRF4L reviews of BWI, they are fantastic. So you definitely want to get rid of that BC ressie? I think you'd be good with WL/CR Split stay as well:)(partly selfish cause that's my next plan so far I think-TY foy the inspiration) I love the pic of you and DD at the entrance to MK. You also are beautiful lady! I think we are all great looking bunch, and I love the be able to put faces to my friends here:goodvibes

camsmomE Of course no one here thinks you are crazy. I think the Poly plan is a GO!:thumbsup2

kaffinito I am so happy you are almost there. And I am looking forward to your live TR, how does that work (yes I am a little slow with that stuff). Will there be a link to click on? I will be obsessively following your trip:cheer2:

kaffinito :rotfl:im sure the sum of my posts = obsessed DISer. i can stop anytime i want, not lol. Admit I've yet to stay @ the Poly:guilty:, must do even a split trip sometime, it's so romantic there-especially at night.

It is one of my favs :goodvibes

Hi, everyone! My name is Emily and I have resort changeritis...BAD! I'm so bad I'm too embarrassed to even put this on the main resort page...!:lmao:

Our party consists of me, DH, DD 9, DD 8, DD 5, and DS 2. So we are the "legal 6" as far as our rooms go!

I booked our original reservations LAST AUGUST at POR with free dining for 9 nights. It never felt right to me....EVER. I spent a bazillion days reading reviews, etc. I finally changed our reservation to one night at BC (30% off room only) and then 8 nights at ASMu with Kids/Stay Play Free promo (with regular dining). WELL....I fiddle farted and posted a message on the boards. I was considering switching ALL 9 nights to BC, but it just didn't make good budgetary sense especially since we would pay OOP for dining the whole stay. So we decided a week or so ago to do a split stay....6 at ASMu (with dining and 8 days of park tickets) and 3 at Beach Club and we were able to keep our promos for both. A couple days later we upgraded to Club Level . We thought this would be good since we won't have the dining plan and by that point in the trip we'll be ready to mostly snack! We'll probably go to Beaches and Cream at least once.

SOOOOOO.....now....of course...I'm rethinking!! ;) Upgrading to Club Level was about $400 more for those last 3 nights but still within our original budget. Did I make the right choice?? I know I want to stay Deluxe for sure since it will be the last time we can fit in a standard room. Why do I have all these darn kids?? :rotfl:

We'll be spending our last 3 days mostly taking it easy at the pool with a bit of park time. We have a MK day including BBB and 1900 Park Fare (this would be our resort change day....DH would do the change over while us girls play at MK), EP day, and either MK/HS for our last park day.

I am considering a few options....this is is just for our last 3 nights (4 full days). I'm surprisingly confident in our family suite choice for the start of the trip. :thumbsup2 As of right now, all these rooms are available for the Summer Room Only Discount.

*Keep BC Club Level and enjoy Stormalong Bay (This is what we have now!)

*Switch to the Poly Garden View and save $200+

*Switch to CR Garden View and save $400+. If we switched to a Standard View it would save over $500!!!!!! (The Contemporary isn't my first pick....)

HELP ME!!!!!!!!:confused3

As tempting as saving money is, and I'm usually the first one to advocate switching to save $$$, in your case, with "all those darn kids" ;) I'd stay put with BC CL.

Two rooms at a CL will cost you a lot of money, and this sounds like your only opportunity to stay CL!

So go for it - your plan sounds very sound to me, and I think you're on the right track, that after all of that dining you'll feel more like snacking for the last few days.

It sounds like a lovely way to end a trip. :goodvibes

Oh! And by the way - you really fit in here! :thumbsup2

:welcome: You are with friends here. I agree with kaffinito enjoy CL while you can all fit in a room for 5. It will be a nice ending for your trip. I would be very tempted to go to the Poly or CR even though its not CL. But if BC is your 1st choice stick with it:thumbsup2 (Forgive me I'm on a monorail resort kick) We can fit into a room for 6 only until October and I have changed more times than I care to remember. Happy Planning!!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome! Should have joined here MONTHS ago....lol!!

I have always been torn between the Poly and the BC. I went with BC because of SAB and EP and it was a bit less expensive. I have read that SAB isn't always best for large families with small children because its hard to watch them?!? I think we would be fine. All my kids are going to care about at that point is swimming anyway.

In the back of my mind, I keep thinking....we can always rent DVC at BC in the future but we won't have that option at the Poly. I mentioned changing to the Poly last night and my husband was like...."Are you serious?":crazy2: Hmm....we could switch to CL at the Poly for $185 more.....

My dilemma of the day is.....cabana at Poly or GF?! I have free days at both resorts and now I just can't choose. The ones at the Poly look so new and....new. :lmao: Don't mind me I haven't slept since yesterday.

 Sleep is the ultimate luxury. Your poor thing. That's why they make babies so cute, so you don't get mad when they keep you up all night. Cabanas Poly or GF....hmmmmm they both look great. IDK. I say Poly because the pool area is definitely more crowded from what people report, and you guys will have your own "claimed space". Nice to see you BTW:goodvibes

We should make a support group here for...DH of the DW with Changeitis:rotfl: I do agree with your assessment that you could always do BCV in the future. I know that doesn't help....:rotfl: And CL at the Poly you can see the castle from the lounge. That's so cool:thumbsup2 Yeah, I am an enabler, sorry.

:lmao: I'm sure DH won't go for Poly CL.....!! I did book O'Hana for breakfast on one of our last days..just in case....:rotfl:!

Now that's good thinking! :thumbsup2 Definitely do that one - for only $185 more you have that awesome view of the Castle from the lounge, Wishes from the Poly beach, I could just go and on here. :goodvibes

Plus, SAB is huge - it's a lot easier to see where your kids are at Poly.

disneydreamin247 - I remember those days well. DS10 didn't sleep through the night until he was 2 1/2. I can so sympathize with you! :grouphug:

And I agree with pas130 on the cabana. If it were me (and it was, briefly), I'd get one at Poly rather than at GF. You don't really need one at GF IMO, but at Poly with those crowds.

Well convince him then! Think of all the money you'll save on snacks and think of the convenience of staying at the Poly. :teeth: Plus, if you think about it, it's really a savings over the BC - you won't have that $10 per day per person inner tube rental. :cool1:

Hi kaffinito I look forward to the live trip report. Thanks for making it easy for dummies like me:rotfl:

No need to go on and on you have convienced me, I have the bug to change to Poly bad, only thing DH does not care for the tropical theme much, you make the Poly just seem so very wonderful I am thinking of working on DH about changeing

packofprincesses good luck with DH maybe once you tell him just how wonderful the Poly CL would be and how he could avoid the crowds at MK by seeing the fireworks from the Poly Beach and pool and lounge ....it just sounds heavenly

Thanks ladies! :grouphug: She's lucky she's so darn adorable! She's seriously wide awake right now, as if she slept 10 hours or something! You'd never know she had a total of about 2 hours of broken sleep all night. What happened to that idea that babies sleep the majority of the day? I swear a man came up with that to trick us into procreating.

As far as my cabana issue, I think you're all right. Perhaps the day of MNSSHP! That is the perfect day because I like to take it easy and avoid a park in the morning so we are all nice and rested for the party. If we spend the day by the pool I think we'll do just fine. We have dinner at Crystal Palace at 4:50 so we wouldn't have to leave until 4. That gives DS ample time to rest between our pool time and the time we have to leave. :woohoo: Happy that's been decided!

sjs314 Do you think DH will give in once you start telling him how great it would be to stay at the Poly? Maybe you and packofprincesses can come up with a plan together:)

disneydreamin247 That is a GREAT plan, for a PERFECT day:cloud9:

I haven't called about a non-club level room at CR in a couple of days. I think the Disney Gods want me to stay there. :rotfl:

And on the WDW website, a Tower MKV room is available. If only it were with my PIN.
