Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

WDWKOOK I SAW THAT! WTH was THAT about?! Sorry for yelling. I guess maybe I'm one of those people everyone talks about on CL manner threads! :lmao: We're not only the resort changer, but the DIS outcasts. :rotfl:

CRResortFan4Life I also agree with how everyone complains about the theming at CR, and then eats there. Gotta love it. It is the "ultimate WDW resort", c'mon the monorail goes THROUGH the hotel-how cool is that??? It is a high contender for my next trip! I always enjoy your CR and BWI pics/reviews (but you knew that:goodvibes)
I agree with everything you said. I am also happy you enjoyed reading my trip reports and the pictures I have posted.

I missed entirely too much today, you chatty bunch! At least we're a chatty bunch and not a catty bunch.;) :rotfl:

Apparently I did too :goodvibes

Agreed on the chatty not catty thing. (Meow! :teeth:)

If I had a nickel for every time I've said this.....or read this.....on this thread ALONE, I'd PAY for the stay in the Grand Villa for ALL of US!!! :goodvibes

:rotfl: :goodvibes

Oh now I have to go find it...

@pas130: Thanks! It sounds like it's really nice. I've never been in a hotel that "luxurious" so it's something I'm not used to. I'm used to staying at cheap hotels. Not like dirty cheap motel type hotels, but ones that don't cost $200+ per night. Actually, I take that back. The Hyatt here in Rosemont, IL is costing my friends and I about $600 for 3 nights. I've stayed there a few times, but I'm totally not used to it.

@WDWKOOK: This talk isn't a bad thing! We are just making sure we know who is paying for what and things like that. It's just a discussion. We just want to be on the same page. My gramma stays in the grandest hotels so I'm sure she won't mind CL. When she and my grandpa came to St. Louis for my other grandparents' 50th anniversary a few years ago, they stayed at a Hilton instead of the cheaper Drury Inn. She also never drives to places that are out of state. She always flies.

I think it's going to come down to this:

I will pay for the depost, which I already have and my park ticket and she will pay for the rest of the resort and food. I don't have the kind of money she has and I know she wants to pay for everything and anything, but I want to at least pitch in for something. I will also pay for my souvenirs and I think she is going to pay for some other expenses, like the mini golf.

Hannah my mom is like you. I explained to her that is her and my dad decided to come we'd have to upgrade to CL to have the lounge as extra room so we aren't all crammed in the room together all the time and she said they would pay the difference for the upgrade, but I won't let her. My parents have limited income and also don't get a tax return so they can't use that. I paid for the upgrade for them and they're just paying for their tickets and half their dining. I have to hijack all the mail that comes (we share a house) so she doesn't see the cost since they don't know I'm covering the upgrade because my mom won't want me to. I wish she would just let me do it without an argument, so I definitely can say don't sweat the money and just enjoy the trip with your grandma!

Thanks! My mom is the same as me. She doesn't feel right when someone won't let her pay for her share or help pay for something. She told me to just let my gramma pay because she enjoys doing it. I guess I will just suck it up and stick with CL.

You guys are the best. You are so supportive and always know the right things to say. :grouphug: I hope staying together at a resort after the Fantasy Land expansion is over happens! :cloud9:

I wish I could convince my mom to meet us there for Christmas. Every time I ask her if she wants to go, she says "No". :headache: She's never been to FL.
POFQ is my resort of the week. If I switched, that's where it'd be. If I stayed there, I could afford a graduation trip to Universal Studios Orlando.

That is so nice of you - I'm sure your parents will really enjoy the pampering :goodvibes

I know you'll have a great time there with your Grandma - you're very lucky to have each other to enjoy WDW with. :)

Now that's a bit of a quandary. :upsidedow That would be another nice trip to take, but would you be able to give up that villa at BWV?

No probably not. Not with it being Christmas and I really want transportation options to the parks instead of counting on crowded buses. :confused3

WDWKOOKWe're not only the resort changer, but the DIS outcasts. :rotfl:

I don't mind being an outcast. Means I am not like everyone else. Being "out" is not always a bad thing:goodvibes And make sure you bring the makeup so you can make us all pretty on our tripprincess:

stepdisney Maybe we should all get a "change" jar. Like a curse word jar. everytime we think about changing we put a nickel in....Heck we could have the Disney Suite at GF:rotfl:

kaffinito SINGLE DIGIT DANCE:cheer2:

WDWKOOK Luckily this trip oldest DS 19, not coming....I know that sounds horrible, but he's Grumpy to the max. I wanted him to come (he lives with his GF not that far away), but my DH and him would be bickering the whole trip-I think my DS realized that too.:confused3 And because DS is still 2-we are party of 6- 1 infant...Too bad I can't claim DH as a child on the tax return, I'd have our girls trip paid for:lmao: So I only have 5 kids at home (6 including DH). I have to vent though, took DS for his 2 1/2 y check up (with DD 4 and 3) The only way to get them to sit still was to say they had to practice for the plane to Florida:laughing: Bribery still works....I sure hope the Grand is ready for us.

I love the trips I take alone with the kids (I've actually only taken DS alone since DD was just born lol), but I always miss my mom because she always took me as a child, and even as an adult we always went together. She's never stayed on property though! This will be her first time. I have to get her hooked. :rotfl:

I try, I try lol. We'll see how it goes. 5 of us in a room for 9 nights might be a bit :scared1:

Thanks kaffinito! :goodvibes I'm getting more and more excited each day.

Your signature reminds of The Glass Menagerie because of the blue flower. I just noticed this!

You might laugh at the amount of makeup I pack. The great thing about airbrush is that it isn't going to melt off in the sun! And you don't have to clean brushes. I hate cleaning foundation brushes on vacation. I hate cleaning ALL brushes really, but those take the longest to clean and I just hate it.

This just reminded me that I'm going to have to share bathroom space on this trip! :scared1: I pack so much makeup and hair stuff. At CBR I had the entire area under the sinks AND the vanity covered. Where are my parents going to put their stuff? I guess I'm gonna have to get an over the door shoe thingamabob for them to use.

This just reminded me I'm going to have to

:sad2: Well I was a thought. However, if you did Swandolphin it might be a lot cheaper? Unless it's about the 1 bdr with jacuzzi and washer and dryer. Just trying to get you the US/IoA trip :goodvibes

Thanks kaffinito! :goodvibes I'm getting more and more excited each day.

5 sounds a lot better than 7! :goodvibes The family across the street from us has 10 kids, 7 of which were still living at home when we moved here in 2008. Now they only have two left. :)

Single digits baby! :cool1:

I think my change jar would be full in about a month. :upsidedow

I would be mystified by all of that. :) I'm curling iron impaired, air dry my hair, and my makeup consists of one mascara, one blush and one pressed powder. :upsidedow

I should take pictures of how much I have. It helps that I have professional discounts with a lot of companies. ;) I keep more in my purse than you own! I can't use a curling iron to save my life. I have multiple nasty scars from my few attempts to use one. My flat iron is my best friend though!

Me too! The last time I tried I got a nasty burn right on my forehead. :headache:

I tried one of those fancy clampless ones....MISTAKE! I burned my hands, arms, and shoulders. The shoulder is the worst one. It's right above my tattoo so of course that has to make it even more noticeable. That sucker blistered and oozed and blech! I will NOT use a curling iron again. I have learned my lesson. Hot rollers or bust! Oh yeah...Where the heck are THOSE gonna fit in my luggage?!

That's cool! I have it in my signature because I have a blue rose as a tattoo on my ankle! When I saw that I had to put it in my signature. :goodvibes

I used a curling iron once for prom (which I regret going to) and it turned out terrible. Never again will I use a curling iron.

I love The Glass Menagerie and laugh every time I see a blue rose. That's an awesome tattoo! My next one is going to be a a heart balloon tied to an anchor. It's inspired by a song. I love tattoos ;)

Curling irons are straight from the devil I tell ya! I hate doing my hair honestly. I can't do much with it, but I need a billion products to keep it in line! I think hot rollers and a teasing comb are the most I know how to do.

I love tattoos as well. My mom hates them and got mad at me when I got one. I told her I was going to the tattoo shop where my boyfriend's cousin's ex-wife (fiancee at the time) works at to see people get tattoos to see if I really wanted one. Of course, I knew I was going to get it and when I got home my mom asked, "So did you get the tattoo?" and I told her, "Yes." and she told me she knew I was going to get it. :rotfl: She says it's too big, but it's not! You can't see it unless I'm wearing something that isn't pants so it's not that big of a deal. I wear pants mostly anyways. lol Here's what it looks like when I first got it: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=98700&id=1793569406

My next tattoos are going to be so nerdy because I'm a huge comic book fan, but they will have to wait 'til after my WDW trip.

I hate straightening my hair because it takes forever because my hair is so thick so I just put it in a ponytail. People rave about my hair and how they wish they had thick hair. They don't. It sucks. XD My boyfriend wants me to grow my hair out because he likes it that way. Granted, he's only seen pictures when I had it past my shoulders because I chopped it off after high school. I miss my short hair!

Are we twins?! First, my mom hates all of mine (I have 5 so far). I also wear pants all the time. The shortest I'll go is right below the knee. I'm far from in love with my body. My hair is a awful. It's so thick and just yuck. If I don't straighten it I look like a wild woman so it must get ironed. I tend to keep it short and cut in like lots of layers anyway so it doesn't take too long. I have a super rad iron so it doesn't take forever.

This is me like a year and a half ago
