So why don't you just show up at BWI sometime between the 24th - 27th and hang out in the CL lounge there for real? You wouldn't even have to wear a disguise, if you didn't want to - a lot of the staff there are Disers.

I will be coming down 10/18-10/23 to the wilderness lodge! I am hoping to get some pixie dust thrown my way so I can upgrade to my home away from home-the Polynesian!

DS(15) just asked if we could stay CR. I can never get a quote for a standard room at CR. How many of these rooms are there TWO????? They must be booked years in advance because last year while at KV I called for the bounceback and asked for CR standard and they said it wasn't available.....LAST SEPTEMBER for THIS SEPTEMBER??? It is the one resort that I will try to book for my DS before he is off to college and doesn't want to vacation with us any more.

Wow - they must be hard to get! What dates are you trying for? Next September? I'd wait until 11 months out and then try again. You can usually get one if you're patient, eh?

Hello! My name is Chris and I think I need to join your 12 step thread

I was booked for June 17th-20th at Pop and June 20th-28th at CBR. Then last night, I discovered that I have 23 DVC points left in this use year that even if I bank over, I will not be able to use next year due to cruising with the Mouse in Alaska.

So...I started thinking, plotting, calculating, and coming up with options last night Can't let those points go to waste, can I? That will pay two OKW weekday studio nights! Then I contacted another DVC member about a points transfer posting listed on the rent/trade board for the approximate number of points that I would need to orchestrate my new plan and my offer was accepted. Now I have points coming....but when I called MS, there is not a consecutive week available in DVC inventory on property
(you can all see where this is going!).

So...I modified my Pop reservation to June 18-21st...took the extra day off my CBR reservation...and now I sit and wait. I may be going with the original plan or doing DVC for the last part of the trip. I may be doing a couple of DVC's for the last part of the trip depending what availability turns up. I may even have to take another trip before the cruise next summer to use up those points

I'll sit down and let the next new member introduce themselves to the group now

I have been calling every couple of days to downgrade my WL CL to WV. Nothing available, not even if I shorten the dates there and extend the Poly.

In an odd way it gives me serenity, because I am not able to change something and then doubt my changes.

The only thing, is when I am on the phone with Disney I sometimes get the comment, "Wow, you have changed this reservation a lot, haven't you?"

I then explain to the cast member its the family being undecided...never my fault of course.

Truth is everyday, I am going, "Do you really want to stay at a monorail resort?" Or "Shouldn't we try some place new?" or "Do you think I should cancel the WL and go to POFQ because we love it there?" or "Should we just save money and go to a moderate?" or "What if there never is another pin code, should I go for something bigger now?"

They always tell me they are happy to go to WDW, the resort is important, but as long as I get one they like they are happy. They give me their favorite resorts and they tell me they are good with the choice...but still I work them.

And then I turn around and blame them when I am online with reservation modifications for all the changes that I drive my family nuts with. How much worse can it get?

One other thing I notice...now that I cannot change my reservation, because nothing I want is available, I feel I don't want to waste the call, so I find myself reviewing the room requests and changing those from this view or that view, near elevator or away from elevator.... on and on.

Hi! Glad to meet you! You sound like me - my "all DVC" trip has turned into a CL split stay trip. Now how did that happen?

Too funny! Don't you love booking a trip? Then when you finally get it right, you start looking around for something else to do. Maybe tweak the ADR's a bit?

Hello all, my name is Linda and I am a remorseful changeritis sufferer. When I first booked our vacation in April, I chose POR. After discussion with the family and the awesome pics on the DISboards, I called and changed to CBR. However, after reading about the Lovelyqueen size beds (which are very important to us) and the cool pool slide at CSR, I changed yet again to CSR. We are now due to walk through the resort doors in 7 days, and I still have not received my ME tickets (I called and they said they would send me new ones). I hate not having everything I need in hand and from now on, will be sure of what I want before calling. My biggest fear is that I will show up at CSR and they will say "You don't have a ressie here"

Yes, I remember that. It was around the time that I had to call and ask if I was booked at OKW or SSR last year.........

MY DH said that it was okay to switch to CR ....BUT....only garden tower and there are no rooms available in the gardenview for the free dining package..... What do I do? I really want to surprise him. We don't plan to go next year because of all of the work they will be doing to the Fantasy Land area. We figure we would return after all of the renovations are complete. Thus the okay for the upgrade from WL to CR. Should I keep calling?

OMG us also. It was a 850.00 diffrence. I think I'm set now. We were at AKL with the discountt 40% added the QSDp but only a 1 day ticket we have tickets to use up. But I'm not sure how many so I would probably have to upgrade 1 pass when we go there.

So I called today and went with moderate which my only choices were POR and CBR. I was going to go with CBR for the pool but we love POFQ so I figure we would do POR. I still want a relaxing vacation so we went with a moderate instead of a value. We liked pop last year but it was very busy.

We got the free dining the 10 MYW base ticket for 2350.00 for 10 days.

So, so far for this vacation we've had BC, Poly and GF. Last night, I got a pin for 40% off ALL levels. I just emailed my travel agent to see how I'd do at POR or POFQ.

Just my luck, TA is out of the office ALL DAY.

DH and I....I mean, I...started at Coronado...switched to the Pop, now I am certain I can't bear to stay at the Pop for 11 whole days...but am now uncertain of whether I want back at Coronado, or want POR. Anyone able to help push a lady over the edge. If it helps, this is our first (and more than likely only) trip to the world prior to starting a family, so we wont have anything to compare to. So far, I have the Pros: Coronado, Nicer Rooms, POR, Nicer Property; Cons: Coronado, Laaaaaaaaaarge property, POR: Seemingly bad bus transportation. Its up to you guys, help me pull the trigger.

This is so funny! I always have buyers remorse about our resort choices, but have learned to manage the anxiety! I think that after the first trip, it got tougher because everyone had an opinion by then, and no one wanted the same hotel. So I let DD pick, and she chose the Polynesian, and despite numerous thoughts to the contrary, we kept the reservation and stayed at the Poly, which no one regreted, naturally. Last year DD chose the Boardwalk, and again, no complaints (seriously, how could there be any). But this year has been a real challege. DS said picked BLT, and then when we got a pin code, we changed to CR Club Level. DD doesn't like that, and is lobbying for the Beach Club, where we stayed on our first trip, or the GF, where we've never been. So now DD and DS are fighting it out, while I'm more (or less) content to leave the reservation as is. We're not going until October, though, so I'm really looking forward to months more of arguing!
