Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

So I finally got my ressies changed to the Ft. Wilderness cabins. Now I am thinking am I going to regret this? What am I giving up? I really wanted the cabins now I have them and I am not sure.

Today I officially feel like an idiot. I must have changed my resort 4 or 5 times today. By the end of the day I forgot where I made my last switch too?
Why am I so indecisive this time? I have a 40% off code that I would love to use at BLT, but nothing is available for my dates. Right now we have 2 standard rooms at Wilderness Lodge. I love the way this resort looks but we could stay in a 1 bedroom at Kidani for the same $$. I wish someone would just tell me where to stay! My husband is ready to strangle me

SV if its available and not too outragous in price....standard....iffy..although I had a std view...not bad really...not the same experience..but I had a view of the pool area...albeit far area..lol..the bus stop...it a was a nice area...when waking up all I can see was blue sky and tree tops...was very nice!
Kidani has an awesome viewing area, very intimate...animals are very close...I really it!!

Savanna view would cost $46.00 extra per night. I know I would much rather wake up to animals rather than cars in the parking lot But DH is another story

I can totally relate!!

The pkg lot view isnt horrible, as most of it is underneath the hotel....I just saw 2 rows if that...I will try to go look at some pics and post them.,maybe others have them handy, I still have not down loaded all my pics from end of Sept!
I enjoyed having the amenities fo both Kidani and Jambo....bus rides arent horrible either! You really feel like you are on vacation somewhere else exotic....then back to the parks

I loved BLT too....totally different...that is why we have this thread....right?!!!

I have a feeling we'll love Kidani! All the pics I've seen so far look beautiful. Now I just have to figure out if we want to pay more for the SV? Isn't that the whole point of staying there, to wake up with the zebra's and giraffe's every morning
ahhh..... all these choices will make me crazy in no time!
Are all the savanna views at Kidani good ones, or are some areas better than others???
We love the giraffe's and ostrich and wildebeest and zebra's and........ I just them all!

Ahhh, my friends I'm baaaaack! Moving proved to be a huge ordeal and I'm literally just recovering from what I call "movers shock Syndrome." I reported back that we ended up at Kidani and LOVED it so Leeann go to Kidani (this is one of MANY voices in your head" I booked the bounce back while there and booked AKL...BUT.....just changed to WL.......and just found out I have a pin code.......so....I'm thinking........Beach club.......????? HELP ME, HELP ME, HELP ME......DH wants to keep us on budget.....just about a $700 difference in price.... with BC being over budget........Gotta change my ticker.....

Hi, just wondering are the pin codes ever a bigger savings than the bounceback free dining. I have received pin codes, but by the time you add the dining plan it ends up to be usually $200 more than the FD bounceback. Please let me know.

Congrats on your move. We have moved twice since we were married. I say, never again. Too much work. Hope it all works out for you.

The pin code for WL was NOT better than the free dining bounceback by about $200. The pin code with Dining was better by about $300 than the bounce back free dining for Beach Club.

I keep thinking about BC, just like last year. Would like to try it but I'm not sure if DH will go for the $700 difference between the two resorts. We did love WL for both the location and the resort theme. Loved taking the boat to MK, and it was easier to get to our ressies. Still thinking about cruising. Quite a bit for just 3 days.....I'd have to give up something. Maybe November on a separate trip. Any suggestions or deals out there for double dipping?

Stay with the Wilderness, it looks amazing! And you can't beat the location! If I had to chosee between a resort in the MK area or the Epcot area, MK would win hands down! Your in the middle of the magic!

My DH keeps saying "I REALLY liked Kidani last year." I keep trying to say that we should try BC villa's for the room size but he is not associating location and room size with budget at all. Gotta love the non planning DH's. He is right though, we have to stay on budget. With a new home comes expenses. Still have to purchase window treatments and we're changing all of the carpet to hard-woods.

StepDisney - welcome back. Glad you survived your move. Haven't been on the boards for a while, since our upcoming plans have been kabooshed by a pocketbook deficite! But, a girl can still dream right? Anyhow here is my 2 cents - go for Wilderness Lodge if $$ is an issuue. Yes BC is lovely, but you can buy alot of Mickey treats or curtains for $700 - plus you can always plan another trip to go BC !!! Another thought, is you could always book a standard room at AKL (since your DH says he liked Kidani) for the same price as WL, but you will be a lot further away from your P&F companions. Any reason you aren't considering POFQ or POR since that is where your friends will stay???

If you haven't stayed at AKL - I'm guessing you will love Kidani. If you can swing the $$ for the savanna view - go for it. AHHH - I absolutely loved AKL -it really does transport you to the African bush country. I would choose a bad room there, over most other resorts! Hope it all works for you - what are you thinking now???

I think finding a better deal and saving money is a good thing. I don't find it to be a sickness, but rather being a smart shopper!! The more you save on the room, you more you can spend on the food and fun trinkets! Enjoy your trip!!!

I had to I too am a habitual resort changer.

I made our reservations in Jan 2009 for 2/28-3/7/10 @ GF something like 397 days til vacation.

I changed my room 3 times. Upgraded each time but still changed. Changed the dates twice. Bought DVC decided to do a split. BLT/GF. Then decided I wanted GF/BLT MK because we would have kitchen and the dining worked better with that spilt but have to move the dates to make it work. Kept GF but just moved to BW/BC and screwed all the stuff up because I can't get a 2 br straight through.

After 330 days our vacation is now GF 2/27-3/3 BWV 2BR Preferred 3/3-3/5 3/5-3/6 2 BR BCV 3/6 - 3/8 1 BR BCV we are wait listed for the 2 BR the last 2 nights but I have done nothing but call MS off and on since Tuesday of last week to get the BW I was sweating the 1 BR with our group. If I can get one of the days for the 1 BR stay I want to waitlist for a boardwalk view ... that is really what I wanted. The only reason I changed from the 1 BR to the 2 BR is because of the space.

13 changes hopefully 2 more to go

SO glad I found this thread... at least I am not alone

I just wonder if after all this trouble if I dont end up with what I want if there will maybe be some magic left

I figured out I was reading from July... oops But I did make myself look at the specials...

Now I am thinking of changing my Dec trip


Can someone please give me some feedback. I am looking at BW or BC both deluxe CL any ideas on preference. We are staying at but in villas not the same thing I hear. We are a family of 5 3 adults (dm) and 7 and 8 dd at that time.
