If someone at All Stars is upgraded to a Deluxe, good for them. As long as I have a room, it's all good.
Did you just get this e-mail also?
I will say that is a great argument. If your resort hasn't been announced to open...why is Disney letting everyone with a resort reservation make park reservations on Monday. That makes zero sense.
Now I could see the error message pop up as you log on Monday morning...."It looks like your resort won't be open on your dates. See your options below..."
I hope we don't have to deal with the resort nonsense BEFORE making park reservations. That will very much stress me out!
Yes, great for them! Pixie dust.If someone at All Stars is upgraded to a Deluxe, good for them. As long as I have a room, it's all good.
We are reserved at Pop. I just received an email from our TA stating that as long as we keep the same dates, we will be moved and no additional charge. She also stated that she will email us Monday to let us know of our new resort reservation.I will say that is a great argument. So it sounds like they are reaching out to TAs. I hope they reach out to the rest of us soon.
You would think they would reach out to the people who booked directly through Disney first, but none of this seems to be making sense.
It is like FastPasses... but so much more intense!Monday is going to be nuts and exciting and crazy
Yes, people are upsrt abour the upgrades. However, they only apply to unmodified reservations that are already booked. You can’t book ASMo on xyz with the expectation of an “upgrade”. For many families, including my own, being moved to some DVC resorts would be a downgrade. If they courtesy upgrade people wouldn't that mean that everyone would get one?..
Wouldn't people be upset if someone staying at All Stars, gets a room at a higher price hotel and you dont get a discount or upgrade?
Interesting theory. That would possibly open up BC for Mod/Value “upgrades/moves” because of a reduced amenity.Moved to Poly as well. TA booked trip. Aug 28-Sept 6. my new theory (haven't called) is that SAB either won't be open or only open for NBA players. Rather than handle the constant complaints with either situation, Disney is proactively moving us to similar room categories. Minor upgrade in their eyes.
I’ve seen rumors floating around that Pop is for NBA staff, no idea if there’s any truth to that. Maybe that explains the lack of housekeeping recall though.Based on the callbacks for restaurant CMs: https://www.wdwinfo.com/news-storie...s-receiving-recall-notices-to-return-to-work/ it looks like they are planning at least to open Pop for values, but nothing for moderates yet (well they are calling back some CMs to CSR, but only to restaurants in GDT, which is where the NBA will be and probably for the longest).
I think that Animal Kiingdom Lodge will be the first to open due to DVC Jambo House.Just to clarify, the only reason they can leave Jambo closed legally is because they opened Kidani which is part of the same DVC resort. All others had to be opened, so they could not consolidate.
Don’t want to derail the thread with DVC...point is that Disney has decided to not open their own hotels and use the open DVC rooms...which they are entitled to use...in lieu of canceling out cash guests who still want to come,
It will be interesting as to what the plan is starting with guests staying once parks open.
POP CMs are not going to the resort they are being moved to help with the resorts NBA is at. I've spoken to 3 POP Cms. Also you'll see only POP wait staff were called, not house keeping not front desk CMs or maintenance.Based on the callbacks for restaurant CMs: https://www.wdwinfo.com/news-storie...s-receiving-recall-notices-to-return-to-work/ it looks like they are planning at least to open Pop for values, but nothing for moderates yet (well they are calling back some CMs to CSR, but only to restaurants in GDT, which is where the NBA will be and probably for the longest).
