Does anyone know where WDW is at in regard to resort capacity? Curious as we are trying to get a single Tuesday night in early December and not one 1BR, 2BR or 3BR unit is available at this point. Hoping they’ll open some rooms before then

Not indicated that DVC rooms are being held back because of covid. Early December is traditionally the highest DVC demand time of the year at WDW (makes Easter-time look like the slowest of off-seasons). For that time, many rooms fill within seconds after the 11-month window opens and little is usually left at 7-months out. Then you have factors this year adding to usual demand, including members using many banked points accumulated during covid times, and that Oct 1 to next year will be the MK 50th anniversary.

If trying for one night, and are not picky as to room size or location, you should probably set up a couple of wait lists and then also stalk the reservation site on a regular basis to see if anything opens.

We just know that they had only opens 35% of the rooms back in September of 2020. Hoping that with masks being eased that maybe rooms, resorts and pools will also increase capacities

I agree with @drusba - set up the waitlists and check as often as you can. I have had good luck with waitlists all the times I have used that option.

100% of DVC was bookable. Hotel units may have been restricted but it was not and is not legal to hold back timeshare units in Florida.

When we were there in September, we were told only 35% was available. And we did notice that ALL of the carousel at Saratoga springs was not in use. Which makes me wonder about the 100% capacity. 🤔 But September was off season and still in the throes of covid

SSR is under renovations so it’s possible they were offline because of that.

But, they did not hold back DVC for bookings. That doesn’t mean that the resort was actually booked, but rather all owners who wanted rooms had the same number of units to choose from as normal,

I wonder if they may have meant that they were seeing about 35% of rooms actually being booked.

I was told that they were certainly clustering guests into certain sections to help with housekeeping, and such.
