Resort Buses- CRAZY WAITS?!?

We stayed at AKL last week and the amount of time it would take for just one bus for this resort took almost 30 min every single time. Especially at the parks, we would see 2 resort buses for others resorts come and go before one for AKL and this was with both Jambo and Kindani sharing all week too. It got old really quickly.:crazy2:

I drove Thur. There was still a huge backup to get in monrail or ferry to go to TTC. Took about an hour to get to my car.

This is why we split up after Fantasmic the last time we went. We made a plan. I would jet out of F! right after the show let out and go straight to the bus line. DH, my mom, and my boys came quickly but had to stop and get the stroller and make it through the crowd with said stroller. They got to the bus stop just as the first bus was pulling up and we all got right on.
Unfortunately that's part of the problem. It's the same for lines for attractions/shows, etc too. You think the line is X deep aaannddd then all of a sudden up walks more people to join.

I don't know how many boys you have but if your husband, your mom and assuming at least two boys (since you used plural) showed up to join you that means that is at least 4 extra people for the bus........I honestly would be upset if by adding in these 4 extra people it meant I missed the bus that showed up.

Some evening EMH would help to disperse the crowds. In early September, there are only 2 out of 7 nights per week that have evening EMH - one night for MK and one night for EP. Or at least, have a couple of parks that close past 9-10pm.

I love taking the buses TO the parks, but when it's time to leave, if it's anywhere near closing time, the cab gets my business every time.

Wow, 5 + buses deep of a line. That is crazy. I was at Pop during Easter week in 2014 and it wasn't that bad! Although we generally didn't stay til closing bc my boys were only 3 and 5 at the time.

I've stayed at Pop before and had 5 buses for the Magic Kingdom show up within 5 minutes of each other. 4 were double stacked and 1 pulled up behind. So 5 buses deep may not be that long of a wait.

Just left Hollywood Studios where hundreds of people were waiting in lines for resort buses well past the queue. What is going on? The park closed at 9pm.

Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and the All Stars all had huge crowds still waiting.

HS and Epcot both closed at 9pm. AK at 9:30pm and MK at 10pm. I've never known all 4 parks to close within an hour...and I felt so badly for the people waiting!!
Aparantly there was a large accident at the DHS exit

There was a bus-car accident on Buena Vista - happened around 8:30p.

Four ambulances were on the scene at the time my friend drove by. Thoughts and prayers going out to all involved.

And that's why we choose to stay at Epcot resorts. We stumble back:tiptoe:

I don't drink much at WDW but Epcot is the only park that I tend to grab a glass or two but we stay mostly at Epcot resort, so walking back or taking boat back to the resort without crazy mob exodus is a plus.

When I used to stay on site, I thought Disney Transportation was the greatest. Not having to drive for a week! Then we started staying off site and I was dreading that I had to drive. I could not have been more wrong! It is so easy to get around and I swear that I am back in my room while people are still waiting on that scooter to get loaded. MK is the only drawback having to go to TT, but its still better than a bus in my simple opinion.

Not if you want to drink at all.:drinking1
