Beginning July 2, Guests at the following Disney Resort hotels can take a Disney Transportation bus directly to Typhoon Lagoon:

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Guests staying at other Disney resorts should continue to take a bus to Disney Springs, then transfer to a bus to Typhoon Lagoon.
Coronado Resort bus pick up is at at El Centro.
Caribbean Resort bus pick up is at Old Port Royale.
This will last until some time in early September

Happy to hear this news! I don’t mind the AK transfer for BB (when BB is open) but the TL DS transfer for Pop is quite a hike.

Wow, that's great. It felt like an endless ride on the old system. Thanks for the info!

Hmm, nice perk for value and moderate resort guests! Except POR/POFQ?
I agree. I drove the Disney Springs to Typhoon route last night and I can't help but look at all the bus stops and think about the days of the direct routes. Personally I feel like the transfers are enough to keep people from the water parks.

I’d hate to think that discouraging attendance is a reason, but it could be, given that they’re only able to open one water park this summer. They’re encouraging attendance by non-deluxe guests, though.

For me the discouragement is the hassle of using Disney Transportation and the transfers. But honestly when we would vacation we almost always stayed at the Boardwalk. The buses from Epcot Resorts to The Springs or Downtown Disney kept us from visiting for years. We hated the combined resort runs. So I would think the extra transfers would keep guests from visiting water parks.

I noticed the typhoon lagoon bus at Pop today and was surprised they could now have direct bussing. That’s great

Thanks for the heads up. Will plan to take the rental car to TL from Beach Club.

We took a Minnie Van there from Poly last month. tbh the only reason we did the transfer coming back is because the bus was sitting right there when we were leaving the park.

"" the days of the direct routes ""

Long long time ago -- Shared buses went to Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Springs (Downtown). At TL closing and when thunderstorms hit, the buses were mired down by cars exiting TL, messing up the entire DS bus schedule..

They should have built the TL entrance with two lanes going up to TL. During congested times one of the up lanes could be coned off for buses to come down. with an extra traffic light phase at the bottom.
