Checked out of POR on 4/6/13. Resort was paid in full prior to check in. Credit card attached to KTTW. I found it odd that there was no final statement hanging from door when we departed at 0700. Figured I'd get an email and all will be good. 2 weeks later....no email and my credit card has not been charged. I just want to pay the bill....which is minimal. Only used KTTW to charge drinks and snacks. I should not have to call Disney to tell them to bill me!!!!

I'm an AP holder and make multiple trips a year. This has never happened! What to do? I guess I'll be forced to call them. UGH!

The same thing happened to us in November. I just emailed Disney with our information. They emailed me back a bill. No hassle really.

I think they no longer do this to keep your personal information out of the wrong hands. Perhaps if it were such an issue, you should've stopped by the front desk on your way out. It really isn't a big deal to call, or to email as the PP did.

Your status as an AP holder and frequent guest doesn't make you special. Maybe it should, but unfortunately Disney doesn't work that way.

If I'd known they were not going to bill me, I would have stopped by the front desk. I purposely add a credit card to my reservation to prevent having to go to the front desk to check out.

I simply mentioned the AP holder because after numerous trips...I've never had this issue. Disney has always been quick to take my money. There are benefits to being an AP holder. Although it is agreed certainly not with billing issues.

1) All final bills (if there is a balance) are on the door overnight.
2) The Front Desk CM delivers these.
. . . the bills are "run" 2:30am-4:00am daily
. . . midnight-4:00am on Tuesdays
. . . they are then folded and put into enveloped by the 3rd Shift CM's
. . . they are then delivered
3) Door-delivery, by the rules,
. . . is 6:00am-8:00am
. . . but, most CM try to get going by 4:40am
. . . and be finished by 6:00am
. . . some resorts take a lot longer (like "running the steps" at OKW rooms)
4) Also, the CM has to stuff and deliver the DME different envelopes.
5) Combined, this can take a long time.
6) If you leave before 7:00am-8:00am, you might have missed the bill.

NOTE: I have personally seen delivery times at OKW and SSR take
four hours, especially on Friday mornings, due to the large amount of
DVC checkouts on Friday.

I think it used to be this way at all the resorts, but our last few stays they have not delivered a paper statement the last night. They did send the bill by email on our checkout morning. Because they seem to have changed things, I stop by the front desk the last night and ask for a printout of our room charges, just in case I need to correct an incorrect charge before I leave the resort.

Thank you! I was at POR...and there is some running of the steps involved also....although not nearly at the OKW scale. I've always had an email copy of the final bill in my inbox prior to arriving home. 2 weeks and still no bill. Bill or no bill, I have never "checked out." They have the credit card information....and have always just billed it. Not an issue of funds...credit card has zero balance. So not sure why it's taking them so long.

Great idea! I will try to do this on all future trips! MK till 3am....that walk to the front desk was not appealing, lol.

No, they aren't. I received a bill on my door the day before check out ~ the other 2 rooms in my party did not, they received emails only. We left the resort around 11:30am and were out of our rooms around 10:30am.

So it isn't an "always" type thing.

Not that it helps you now but I usually settle up sometime the day before and then don't charge anymore after that. After leaving Universal twice only to come home and find incorrect charges I like to make sure I've looked it over before I leave. It's is a hassle to have those corrected after the fact.

I'm trying to remember but I don't think we got a bill on our last trip (first week of March) either.

I've done this in the past, when I've charged meals. I only charged a minimal amount. I hate the Disney bill that charges the room rate each night...so I've made it a point to pay the room in advance.
