Hello -

Has anyone used Disney's baby sitting services at their resort? The thought of a stranger baby sitting my children is scary but.....I wanted to see if anyone had any comments or feedback.

How old are they because they have other options such as Simba's Playhouse @ AKL, The Neverland club @ Poly, There is also a place @WL. (Can't remember name!)

These are places you can take your childeren that have activities, games, movie, stories, they feed them etc.

The min. age is 4 though.

I have never used either, however my child is now old enough and he will be possibly going to one on our upcoming trip.

I used the Kids night out for our then 1 yr old son. I was very nervious about leaving my little one with a stranger, but it was a really great experience. We plan to use it again on our trip in April. One of our kids will still be too young to use the kids club. They are now 2 and 4. It can be expensive to do the inroom babysitting, but it was worth it to get a little alone time with my husband.

Thanks for sharing! I have 15 month old twin girls. I just remember reading somewhere that some of the resorts have sitters that will come and stay in the room with the kids. So...I thought that one evening while we are there I could have a sitter come after the kids go to bed so my husband and I could go out to dinner.

We are going to the Beach Club next Saturday and OKW next April.

It will be fun when they are old enough to join activities and such like you mentioned.

Just wondering - how do I find out more information about the Neverland club at the Poly?

We just got back from a stay at the CR and used Kids Nite out for our dd2. It was fantastic and I was very impressed with how professional and well run the service was.

We just returned on Saturday night, and during our stay we used Kids Nite Out twice (had only planned once but ended up going out a second night with friends in the area).

The first night we had Diane, the second night we had Nancy. Our girls *loved* them, and had a really, really great time. They each brought a rolling suitcase of activities, games, books, etc... They told stories, had the girls play with Playdough, blow bubbles, dance, sing, etc....

It was the first time we've ever left our girls with a "stranger", but the fact that they are finger-printed, background-checked, have First Aid/CPR training, etc made us feel better. I would absolutely use them again.

I used Simba's Cubhouse this month - it was our first experience with the kid's clubs at WDW and we loved it. Max had a great time and so did I. I got to go to MK and go on all of the rides that I wanted to go on and have a nice evening on my own. Max got to do all kinds of cool things, he played games, ate dinner, played more games, built a bunch of Lego creations, met lots of other kids and had milk and cookies. He was all excited to go back again the next night, unfortunately I had to break it to him that he wasn't going again the next night. In fact, I thought I'd use Simba's Cubhouse 2 or 3 times on our trip because Max has always been apprehensive about the rides and I really wanted to go off and do the ones he won't go on, but he finally got brave and went on a bunch of rides so I didn't have to wait until I was alone to do them. Anyway, it was $11/hour and totally worth it. I would definitely do it again.

Can't really answer this directly, but I can say we've used the Neverland Club in the past and my boys loved it. Didn't want to leave when we went to pick them up. Now at 14, my oldest DS is too old :sad1:

I've used Kids Nite Out 3 different times and never had a bad experience. You can request a male or female, you can request an age group, young or grandmotherly. I had 2 grandmother age and 1 younger women and I preferred the grandmother aged ladies. My kids are used to being babysat by their grandmothers. It is a little strange at first to do it, but, they are carefully selected and they have background checks and references. They bring toys/games/movies age specific to your child. They follow your requests for snacks/drinks/bed time/teeth brushing, etc.

Have a great trip!

I think you might be mistaken a bit, as far as I'm aware, DISNEY doens't have sitters that will come to your room (although I could be wrong). They do have the clubs that you can take your children to. Kids Nite Out is a company that will send someone to your room, but they don't work for Disney. There are also a couple others available.

We used Kids Nite Out in June for me 12, 9, 6, and 4 year olds and they all had a great time. For us, it was far too expensive to use the clubs, and the in-room sitting was a better option for us.
