Resort and ticket question

Ok....I have made a jumbled mess of our reservations but this is the way it is......

Here is the scenario:

Arrival Day: Stay at All Star Music (basically for a place to sleep)....I am doing this because I want to be able to purchase the discounted tickets and can't with the remainder of our reservation. (this was just as cheap as staying off property one night and buying discounted tickets through undercover tourist).

Next day: VWL through rented points

Ending with CSR (my girls wanted this--I couldn't get any additional points to add to my VWL stay)

Since I will pick up my tickets with the original all star stay will I be able to convert them to my remaining reservations or should I ask for them to be separate. I don't really want a headache but want to be able to use Fp+ as early as possible if it is out then (Mid June).

As my husband says---boy you sure have made a mess of our reservations (lol). I did! but I don't want to rent any more points or try to to extend VWL since my girls want to stay at CSR (for the pool).

My best thought is to ask the concierge when you check in on day 1 about that. My guess is that they will transfer your tickets from room to room. I've known people who have done a split-stay and their tickets were transferred. I think they keep that info in their system so it's probably no big deal to just tack them onto your new room keys.

Your tickets are good for as many days as you purchased regardless of where you are staying. I was doing a split stay at first and the tickets were booked with the first resort so I would get them upon arrival, but then could use them for the 8 days on them at either resort.

Your tickets are not associated in any way with your reservation. You can have your tickets encoded on your KTTW card (room key & resort ID) if you'd like, but that's not required. To me, it would be way too much trouble to keep moving the tickets to different KTTW cards as you change resorts.

When you buy from UT, the tickets are shipped directly to you and are not connected to any resort. You can order from UT and stay at any resort, even off property. They are ready to use right from the envelope.
Because you are changing three times, I would just keep the tickets as they are and not try to get them put on your KTTW card.

Thanks for this response and everyone else's too. Las time we were there our tickets were on our KTTW. Would they be two separate things now instead or I just keep using that key for park entry?

It was actually cheaper for me to stay value one night and get tix through Disney than UCT and offsite hotel.

Sorry. I totally misread that. Yes, your tickets will be on your KTTW card at the Allstar resort. You can have them removed and just use the "paper" tickets for the rest of your trip. You can also have them put on your next KTTWcards, but it could get complicated with the 2 moves.

Thanks! I may just do undercover tourist. It's only about a $60 difference and probably less hassle.

Sorry to revive my old thread but I had one more question----

I ended up booking POR for one night stay before going to VWL (on rented points). I did this in anticipation of FP+ which may or may not be up and going during our trip.

From my understanding when we arrive at POR we will receive our KTTW and that will have our 6 day tickets on them. When we arrive at VWL we will receive a different KTTW but our tickets for park entry will NOT be on this KTTW. I will actually need to take my original from POR to enter the parks or ask the concierge to transfer them to our VWL KTTW.

In hindsight I probably should have just done UCT and not worried about anything else but I didn't and everything is paid for so I don't really want to switch now.

Is my thinking correct?

Thank you all for your advice in advance!

It's your choice. You can leave the park tickets on the POR KTTW cards and continue using them for entry and FPs or you could have them transferred to your VWL KTTW cards. Some people like having everything on just one set of cards, others don't mind carrying 2 separate cards per person during the second resort stay.
