Dh and I are planning a getaway in Oct just the two of us. First time in 6 years! Where would you book for the most romance. I`d also love some ideas for an itinerary. We will have three full days. We have Aps so park hopping is fine. Best restaurants for romance. Also have TIW.

Hi,

Le Cellier in Canada is a great restaurant and has some nice ambiance. Also try the Coral Reef in Epcot and ask to sit next to the aquarium tank, it is a wonderful experience. I have heard the restaurants in France are romantic although I have never actually eaten there. A great place in Downtown Disney is Portabello's, it is very nice and the food is excellent! Hope this was helpful!

Victoria and Alberts is very romantic but it is very formal.
I love the California Grill... watching the fireworks from the MK is always special. Another great restaurant that has a wonderful atmosphere is Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge.
Enjoy!!!

Give us a few hints on what is a great meal?

We don't care much for seafood, so we wouldn't want anything like that...

Since you are going during the Food & Wine Festival I would skip the regular restaurants and see what special dinners they will have while you are there. Maybe do a Party of the Senses (on Saturday nights). Unfortunately, Disney won't announce the events for a couple of months.

We don't find too many on property restaurants to be romantic. Besides, V&A (and nothing else compares), your best bet for quiet, adult meals would be at Bistro de Paris in Epcot or at the Swan/Dolphin restaurants (they do take TIW). All of them are very good; I'm most in love with bluezoo's food but I think Il Mulino is a bit more romantic.

For resort, during Food & Wine, would have to be an Epcot area resort. If I didn't care to be close to a park, I'd go with Old Key West. I really love this resort, love the big balconies and lush landscaping. My husband and I can spend hours on that balcony, drinking a nice glass of wine.

We went on an adults only romantic getaway weekend in January. We opted for the Beach Club for a few reasons...one we wanted something "beachy" since we were in the middle of a rotten winter up north and we wanted to be close to Epcot since it was more of an adult vaca. We also liked the proximity to the Boardwalk for Jellyrolls.

Day 1 - We STROLLED, yes strolled the World Showcase, enjoyed the countries and sipped adult beverages. No waiting on character lines, no whining, no one complaining of boredome...ahhhh We then rested and walked back to Epcot again for dinner in Canada and Illuminations..

Day 2 - Animal Kingdom and relaxing by the pool. Dinner at Ohanas and fireworks on the beach at the Polynesian......Drinks and singing at Jellyrolls.

Day 3 - MK--Keys to the Kingdom Tour. Very interesting and well worth the money. Great DVC discount. A tour we could never do with our little ones. Then off to DHS for Fantasmic. In our last 3 trips we missed it bc our kids would not have the patience to wait for it. Dinner at Beaches and Cream...

Romantic in our own kind of way...enjoy!

AKL -SV for sure!!

Love California Grill especially later during fireworks

Narcoossee's-Right on the Lagoon ( Fresh Seafood)-Another great place for
fireworks
Enjoy

Imagine being at Disney, sitting on a bench and watching everybody hustling past you. Smile and enjoy the moment. It is a great feeling walking hand in hand and spontaneously selecting an attraction knowing you are not rushing to the next one.

Best place to stay: OKW would be my first choice. Beautiful and quiet resort. Stay at South Point area, buildings 45, 46, or 55 have great balcony views. The pool is usaully very quiet because most kids are at HH main pool or at Turtle Pond area. Whatever resort you stay at just take in their grounds.

Most romantic things to do:
Walking along the beach at the Polynesian watching Wishes at MK.
Take in dinner at Citricos at the GF then go sit in a swing on the beach and enjoy the moonlight.
Try a Horse drawn carriage ride at Fort Wilderness.
Enjoy a specialty cruise and watch Wishes at MK or Illuminations at Epcot.
Another nice walk is from DHS to Boardwalk, then enjoy the evening on the Boardwalk.
Head to AKL for breakfast at Boma or dinner at Jiko then watch all the animals from the viewing areas and just enjoy the resort.

Whatever you do just relax and enjoy the moment.

We always stay at OKW with the kids. Never thought about it as a roma tic getaway, but you are right, it's a fabulous resort and worth a second thought. I also thought we might eat at Bistro de Paris. Someone mentioned Artist Point, and I like that idea. We had considered BLT MK view as a resort. Right now we are booked into a SV at AKL Jambo house. Still not sure what the best bet is. Our favourite things to do are World Showcase and the MK. Love DTD too.

Someone asked what constitutes a good meal. We don't like anything too fancy. Dh would never want to dress up for V and A. We love good food thought--nicely prepared meats, lots of vegis, luscious desserts. keep the ideas coming!

I have always wanted to do the dessert party, but the kids go to bed too early. Great idea!
