Resort Advice for Family of 4

Background:
We are family of four, me, DW, and twin 2yo DS and DS.

We are very happy AKV owners

However we are thinking about adding on in a couple years (saving cash for it) and still trying to decide whether to add more AKV points, or to add-on points to a different resort for the 11-month booking advantage.

I refuse to buy sight-unseen. We have ressies for Jan. 8th thru the 15th at AKV and contemplating making a switch at the 7-month mark. (DW wants to stay as AKV is our favorite resort, I'm wanting to switch to try a resort we may want to buy at).


For that week (that includes marathon weekend), and with two 2yo boys, which of the resorts would you say 1) gives us our best shot of a 7-month switch and 2) would you recommend:

1) BCV (we have stayed in BC years ago so not imperative if we go there)

2) BLT

3) VWL

We would be looking at a studio or 1-BR, whichever is available we are flexible. We understand 1-BR's are usually easier to obtain.

BCV doesn't have appeal to me in the winter, so that could be a plus for you! (We do own at BCV!), and BLT MAY be harder to come by for Marathon weekend. This past year, I had a waitlist for BLT for the weekend that included Marathon Weekend and it never came through. The waitlist was for a 2 bedroom, a couple of years ago, a waitlist for the 2 bedroom DID come through, so I'm 50% for that weekend there. I think the 1 bedroom at VWL would come though for you.

I am a SSR owner and on our last trip we tried BLT. With young kids, we spend a lot of time at MK and found BLT to be super convenient. You can walk from BLT to the MK in about ten minutes. I have three kids under 6 and they all loved the pool ans splash pad area. You already know you like AKV, so it doesn't hurt to try out another resort. We also like BCV, but with our kids being young right now, BLT is the most convenient.
