I just had new windows installed yesterday, and of course they came covered in stickers, etc from the manufacturer, the installer, etc.... basically everybody who touched them put a sticker or tape on them somewhere. Any sure fire techniques to get rid of the sticky residue?

there is a product called goo gone. It is sold in home depot and walmart. It will take the sticky off the window. Avon's skin so soft will also work, that takes a litlle longer.

There is also another one called "Undo". It is really the same produced as above, but I think sold under a different name for different areas. You can get it at home depot, lowes, walmart, craft stores, etc...

Why in the world aren't the people who installed them washing them for you??????

I'm not surprised to hear about the Avon product removing stuff. I worked for Avon over forty years ago and remember seeing lots of spills on the fill lines. This was before everything went stainless steel and the various liquid products would take the white enamel off the line in seconds. And people actually put this stuff on their skin! I'm sure it's not just Avon, either.

Once the goo is off of the glass, one of the best glass cleaners I've seen is Invisible Glass. We get it at Target.
