I am tossed up between SpringHill Suites & Residence inns – Sea World.

SpringHill Suites looks a bit more modern. But besides that I can’t really see any difference.

Both have a pool & Comp. breakfast, Free parking so that’s a Bonus!!!

I can’t find anything about a nightly Resort Fee at either. I am assuming there is not one.

Any input from fellow travellers on either of these.

We will be purchasing the Orlando Flex Pass and staying at HRH for the 1st park of the trip.
I am thinking of switching resorts when we are done our HRH stay and moving closer to Seaworld & Aquatica . Closer proximity and being able to walk to/from the resort is ideal!

2nd question.
I know at HRH the Onsite perks come with the hotel stay. Regardless of where we purchase the Flex tickets from.
With the Sea World Official Partner Hotels does it work the same way? Perk of the hotel regardless of where/how we buy the park tickets?

Thanks in advance for all your input!

First, the main difference I can see is that Residence has more different sized rooms whereas the suites do not. Also, the pool area at the Residence is much bigger and nicer than the suites. Note the suites also shares its small pool area with the hotel next to it, the Fairfield. Yes, both have free parking, are both minutes from SW/DC/Aquadica, both have free breakfast buffet, and both have no resort fees.

Second, right, your tickets are separate from the benefits of the hotel. The hotel's expedia desk gives you a free quick que with your hotel key, for each guest in the room. Also, one day, there is a very basic, quick early entry "tour" that you can sign up for for free with your hotel key.

For the most current benefits of the neighbor hotels, go to the SW Orlando website and look at the neighbor hotel info.

I hope this helps. Have a great time. We like the Busch parks in FLA.

We stayed at Springhill Suites in June. They gave us a room with a view of SeaWorld which my kids loved. It was really clean, beds were comfy and the breakfast was good. Breakfast area does get busy quick. We arrived at noon and were able to check in with no problems. Our room was ready so we dropped off our luggage and headed to SeaWorld. We were able to get QuickQue for arrival day and the next day.

Lynne has provided you with some great information :thumbsup2 . The Springhill Suites offer standard hotel rooms which only give you the "privacy" of a half-wall between the living and sleeping areas. The Residence Inn offers you the option of a studio, one bedroom, or two bedroom suite (each with a full kitchen).

I believe (but I'm not 100% certain) that the RI offers a tad more expansive breakfast buffet to their guests.

Both offer free Quick Queue (regardless of how you booked your room or where you purchased your tickets from), free parking, free internet, free transportation to the parks in addition to the complimentary breakfast. Both are very close to the SW parks.

We stayed at the RI for our Christmas trip and really enjoyed it. We loved the large outdoor courtyard with grills for guest use, a big sport court with a basketball net, the large pool and the hot tub. Our room was very spacious and offered two flat screen TV's, one in the bedroom and one in the living room (you will probably only get one TV in the Springhill suite). The staff were very friendly and we never had a problem getting a table in the huge breakfast room (even when they were at capacity during their busiest week of the year).

And finally, some of the common areas.

The check in desk:

The foyer:

The breakfast room:

The Residence Inn .... outdoor areas:

Thanks so much for the pictures fellow Canuck :thumbsup2

I love the idea of having a bedroom. Then you can see the mess of the luggage and crap when you're in watching tv!
Thats looking more like a "resort" then Springhills! Which is great!

Thanks again!

I booked RI for 2 nights in late September. I need a real 1BR suite, not a room with a 1/2 wall. (DS, an adult with special needs, will not go to sleep unless he is alone, don't even ask for the details, lol)

I think I booked the 1BR for $99/N. AAA rate. Sounds good to me. I have not been to Sea World in 21 years, and this DS has never been.

Thanks so much for the reminder! I didn't even reserve under the AAA/CAA rates.
Residence in was cheaper with AAA rate
Springhills was more expensive then they stay 4 nights 15% off rate for some reason?
stay 4 nights 15% off rate $110 AAA rate $123 bizarre
