Does anyone have pictures from the Residence Inn Maingate showing the new Anaheim Garden Walk? I'm curious how close it is to the hotel.

I haven't been to DL since October 2006, when I think they were just beginning to dig up the property in preparation for the Garden Walk.... but it's been soooo long.... and I just can't tell from all the GW concept art where and how it's all situated in relation to the Res. Inn.

Thanks!

If my memory is not playing tricks on me the Residence Inn is right across the street from cheesecake factory. You will use the #7 ART if you decide to not drive to Disneyland. Walking woud be a bit to far. Hope this helps--Cheesecake factory is part of the garden walk area.

Have fun

Patty

Just stayed at Residence Inn Monday and Tuesday. The Residence Inn is caddy-corner to the fire station. The Cheesecake Factory is at the Corner of Clemintine, across the street from the Cast Member parking. We ate at the CA Pizza Kitchen (next door to Cheesecake FactorY) Monday night and walked from our hotel to the restaurnt and it was an easy walk. The Garden Walk, not entirely open yet, they were still doing some construction, is right behind the fire station. So, it's all really close by.

I just threw this together, but it kind of lets you see where the open restaurants are in relation to the Residence Inn Maingate. I just put the map on top of the empty spot on the aerial shot.

WOW... thanks Mary Jo :worship:

I remembered there was a fire station across the street.... so it kind of threw me off as to where everything else was located. But with Mary Jo's map... it's all coming together now!

Great job, Mary Jo. We always stay at the RI.

MaryJo, you and Robo should team up and make helpful maps about all things Disney. How do you guys make those maps???????

Thanks so much, Molly. Means a lot coming from you. :)

I use Google maps & then put it on Powerpoint, label, etc., & then group & save as a jpg picture.
