Stayed here on 7/20 - 7/23 with my family. Good place to stay, we had our own rental car so not sure if they offer transportation to any parks, but we liked its proximity to Sea World/Discovery Cove (reason we chose it), it was easy to get in and out of, just make sure you have a good map of the area as we kept getting lost because DH wouldn't listen to my directions.:confused3 :lmao:

Rooms were comfortable, elevator does take a very, very long time, but parking was plentiful and it is always nice to have the full kitchen to save money on meals. Breakfast is included, we have had a better spread at other Residence Inns, but at least the food was always replenished, and they continue serving until 10:00 a.m., so that was nice, beats having to wake up real early to make sure we have something to eat.

The pool was plain and simple and did its job - cooled us off after a hot day. Pool towels were plentiful, and there was also a hot tub.

One of the things I love about Residence Inns is their free Internet station. This Residence Inn had two computers for guests, with free printing available, so I was able to do a last minute email check before heading off to the Disney resorts (where you have to pay for Internet access).

Not a bad place to stay, and I would stay there again if I head back to that area.

Hi - I think we are doing a very similar trip in Sept....we are staying at the Residence Inn International Center (I think the same place) so we can go to SeaWorld, then we are moving to WDW.

quick questions -
How did you get to the center from the airport - is there a more econmical way than a cab?

did you just cab over to WDW or did you go back to the airport to do the Express Bus service?

Tlelliott - there are actually two Residence Inns that are close to each other - International Drive and Convention Center. The one we were at, Convention Center, is on Universal Blvd. You may be at the other one.

As to getting there, we flew into Sanford Airport and rented a car, so that is how we got around. Sorry I am not much help for you today!
