Just wondering if anyone has stayed at this resort on Marbella Palm Court? We are looking for an off-site hotel prior to our arrival at WDW, and this one looks like it is pretty close to the WDW property, not to mention it has 2 bedroom suites with a king and 2 queen beds....any info would be helpfull.

Thanks in advance :thumbsup2

I have never stayed at RIMPC but have stayed at many RI and have never been disappoined. I'm sure you will be pleased with it.
Enjoy your stay!

We have stayed there and it was wonderful. If the rates were a little cheaper, we'd stay there all the time. We had the King/2 Queen suite. It was nice to have that much space for our family of 5.

The breakfast room was crowded, so eat early or take it back to your room.

We stayed there earlier this month for about one week. We thought it was fabulous!
We have 4 young boys, all are under the age of 8. We had one of the two bedroom suites and it was perfect for us. It was very clean, housekeeping was wonderful.

We usually were downstairs in the breakfast room pretty early, so we could get to the parks when they opened. Breakfast was available from 6:30 am to 10 or 10:30 (I think? We already at the parks by then!) and we were usually down there at 6:30 or shortly after. That early, it wasn't crowded at all. They always had breads/pastries, yogurt, cereal, fruit, eggs, sausage patties, etc. Bacon seemed to be served every other day, alternating with hash.

They do have a shuttle to and from the parks, but we didn't take it. It runs 3 times per day. With our kids being young and all, we decided it was easier for us to go ahead and pay the $11 per day to park right at the parks. If our kids were older, or even if we only had one or two kids, the shuttle probably would have been a great option though.

Have fun planning your trip!

:thumbsup2 Wonderful, thanks for all the replies. I also checked it out on Tripadvisor and there were really no complaints there either. It says it is 3 miles from DTD, I am assuming it is really close to the parks then.

Again, thanks for the replies.

We stayed 9 nights in one of their family suites (2 bedrooms 1 bathroom).

I had a few problems but overall, it was good & I would go back.

The first issue I had was that I specifically asked & was told that the bedroom had doors. They did not. I was also told there were laundry facilities on all floors, well, we were on the first floor & there was no laundry room there, only the 2nd - 4th floors had them.

In the kids' room there was a light not working, I told guest services but it went unfixed for 3 days. Also, the foot section of one of the kids beds was broken off, and it was never fixed during our stay.

On our 4th morning there, the manager walked over to us at breakfast & asked if we were enjoying our stay. We told him about the things we were unhappy about. That day, the light bulb got changed.

Then I had to do laundry & came to find out that the washer on the 2nd floor didn't work & ate my $$, and NONE of the detergent dispensers had any detergent in them & they ate my $$ as well.

When the manager asked the next day at breakfast if the problems were fixed, I told him about the washers & the unfixed bed. He checked with maintenance & said they were waiting for parts on the bed.

We told him we were unhappy enough that we would not come back. At that point, he comped us back 2 days...literally took the 2 highest priced nights right off our bill! And gave us a free upgrade from a family suite to a 2 bedroom suite for out next stay. (which we never got to use)

Otherwise, the food was good & plentiful, the rooms and facility were clean, but if you know you will have to do laundry, you may want to go out & buy detergent before you are desperate for clean clothes because there may not be any in the laundry room!

Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions!

Christine

Thanks Christine for the info.

We are only staying there the one night, as we will be arriving in the Orlando area around 3pm, we did not want to waste a day at WDW so we are staying off site for that night and heading to WDW in the morning. I was just looking on an Orlando map, and it really isn't all that far away from DTD, which was my biggest concern, I just wanted to be sure we were really close to our resort.

Thanks again.
