Residence Inn Anaheim

Hi, has anyone stayed at this hotel? If so, how was it? I know they have a continental breakfast, is it substantial or just a muffin or two? How's the shuttle service? Thank you in advance for answering my questions. This is a spur of the moment trip for my family and I.

Just went last month with a friend. It is an older property but well maintained. Very clean and nice mattresses and free parking. Our suite had a fridge and microwave. Breakfast was cereal, muffins, doughnuts, breads, juice, fruit and possibly a few other items. Can't remember what, not eggs or pancakes though. In the evening they had some free appetizers, it was chili the night we were there and changes daily. Shuttle was good, no problems at all. If the price were right I'd go again. Didn't use the pool or jacuzzi but they supposedly had one. Hope this helps.

Just thought that I'd throw my 2 cents worth in - Have you thought of the Residence Inn at Orange (rather than Anaheim) - we have booked there for April, in a penthouse suite for a family of 5.

Their price not only includes a full buffet breakfast (from Scrambled eggs, through to fruit, cereals, toast, bagels etc) but they also supply a family style dinner each evening as well (a specific entree & salads). In a penthouse suite you also have the luxury of a full kitchen (rather than just a fridge & micro) and with this size you have 2 bathrooms and a couple of living/sleeping areas.

Just thought I'd mention it. The price we were originally quoted was $119 per night (but because we are staying for over 2 weeks, they reduced the rate to $99) the normal nightly price for penthouse suite is $189 p.n.

They also have smaller studio suites and if you have an Entertainment Guide (www.entertainment.com) you can get these rooms at 50% discount.

I have posted a request for information a few times about this hotel and all reports have been good.

We stayed there in August (DH's work put him up there for the month due to work) and found it to be fine. As stated, it is an older hotel, but well maintained. Breakfast was fine, cereal, fruit, muffins, bagels, juice, coffee and the like. Every evening the host a themed "happy hour" which is quite substantial....hamburgers and chips, tacoes, soup and salad, etc.

The shuttles were right on time in the mornings, but seemed to run a bit late in the afternoons. It is close enough that we walked back to the hotel a few times, about a 10 minute walk from the bus pickup area.

Our suite has a full kitchen, fully supplied. King bed, queen sleeper sofa. Pleanty of room for the 3 of us, and would have been fine for 4 as well.
