:confused3Quick question,
When booking cabanas for Castaway Cay, will the available cabana be listed in alphabetical order or will they be towards the bottom in the section where the ones that are sold out are listed? I have been looking to book daily but all the ones are sold out right now :magnify:. Just wondering where I should pick attention to, top or bottom. How likely is it that people cancel their cabana after they book? We are first-time cruisers so when we are able to book they're all sold out. :confused3
Thanks

If a Cabana becomes available, it will be listed towards the top (in the alphabetical list Cabana # XX). It will not be at the bottom, once a shore excursion is sold out, it is moved to the bottom of the list of shore excursions for that port. Also know if you should be so lucky to get one, the one you book will continue to show available to you (in the top of the list) but it does show sold out to everyone else. (It looks very confusing because it looks like you really didn't book it.)

As far as the likelihood one will become available? That's anyone's guess as it varies based on the sailing, who has already booked them and the reasons they booked them. People do cancel them all the time. But per cruise, it may be that only one or two cancel in advance. If you don't get one before you sail, go to Port Adventures when you board and get on the wait list. On several of our cruises I have known people to get a cabana that way. Once you are cruising, plans change.

Thank you so much for posting this! :thumbsup2I booked my first cabana last weekend and seeing that it was still available every time I logged on, was making me feel quite uneasy about it (I'd assumed it must only be showing as available to me, as it was the last one available so I guessed that someone else would have snapped it up, if I hadn't secured it, but it's still reassuring to have it confirmed, so thank you) :thumbsup2

That caught me off guard the first time as well. Your reservations shows as available. Strange way to set it up......

I agree it is confusing, but I think the way it is allows to to select that cabana and then cancel (or maybe modify the guest list) your reservation.
