If I want to reserve a TL cabana do I have to pay in advance? Or just a deposit or give a credit card number or what? Is there a cancellation fee if we get there and it looks like rain is forecasted for the day we picked?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

You'll need to pay in full in advance.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer for rain/cancellation.

When we booked/paid for ours, we were told there was no cancellation policy. You can still do the waterpark in the rain.

I had a long discussion today about the premium areas with the manager responsible for them (among other things).

The Cabanas and upgrade chair/umbrella locations must be reserved at least one day in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. Full payment is required at that time.

Same-day cancellations or no-shows do not get a refund.

If there is any availability on the day of use, they will be rented out on a first-come, first-served basis.

At TL, the High and Dry Towel Company now has a separate line for people who have pre-made reservations to pick up the towels, mugs, wristbands, etc. Anyone wanting a "day-of" has to wait in the regular service line.

Depending on season and other factors, the current maximum rices for a cabana is $300 and for the other reserved areas is $50. Also, if there is still availability at 2:00 the walk-up price drops to $175 (and still get all the benefits).

Although a reservation cannot be made for more than six people, if you have additional people they can be added for $25 each and will get the towels, mugs, etc. The number is not specified, but it depends if the group is all adult or if children are involved.

If the Park never opens, or closes within a few hours of opening, refunds will be given. For summer afternoon thunderstorms there will be no refunds (unless it is an afternoon rental, and then on a case-by-case basis depending on time rented and when the Park closes for the day).

I don't mean to belabor this, Cheshire Figment, but can I assume from your post that if I cancel more than 24 hours in advance I can get a refund?
TIA

I'm not sure of the exact restriction. I do know they will not accept a cancellation on the day for the reservation. My personal suggestion is if the reservation is for a Thursday, the cancellation should be no later than Tuesday.

Premium Beach Chair Space
This includes 2 lounge chairs, umbrella, cocktail table and 2 towels. Limit is up to four people; if more, a second reservation is needed. Reserve in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. Cancellation without penalty must be no later than 9:00 am the day prior to reservation. These are available on a same day basis if there are any locations left (check at High 'N Dry Towel Company). Cost is $40 plus tax and must be paid at time of reservation.

Premium Seating Areas
Four Premium Spaces are available for rental daily. This includes an attendant, private lockers, all day drink mugs, cooler with bottled water, comfortable lounge furniture, tables and rental towels. The Premium spaces accommodate up to six guests. Cost is $250 plus tax for the full day (plus park admission). You will need to go to the High 'N Dry location to inquire about the availability of the Beachcomber Shacks. Advance reservations are currently available by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. Similar spaces are available at Blizzard Beach.

That is exactly what I was told when I made my reservation. :)

We were at BB today and about 40% of the patios were unoccupied. (hot and spring break)

Can anyone post where these locations are in the park? Also for the $40. with 2 chairs and an umbrella can you add a 3rd chair to this? DH is taking DD and a friend for a day while I take other DD and her friend to IOA for a day. He isn't too keen on WP but he wouldn't mind sitting in a chair if there was an umbrella for him.

The locations have furniture which is very different than what is available to the general public. I do not think there is space within the reserved areas to bring in additional lounges from outside. I do know that for the cabanas they will allow a few extra people for an extra fee, this gives additional mugs, water and towels but I do not think they do this for the smaller spaces.

Thanks for the info, CF! I hope the time we want to be there it's not $300/day. I don't know that we want to splurge *that* much.

We rented the chair space at Blizzard Beach this past October. Me, DH, DS, and DD were allowed to rent the one space. They actually had a couple of extra chairs stacked (not loungers) in the space and gave us four towels. I made the reservation for 4 ahead of time as well.

I copied this off of the WDWINFO website:

We rented this in both waterparks last year. 2 adults and 2 kids. They gave us 2 smaller chairs for the kids! :thumbsup2

Does anyone know how far in advance you can book a beachcomber shack at Typhoon Lagoon? Also can you specify what one you would like?

Thanks,
Dagu.

You can reserve up to 180 days out.

The actual location assignments are made at The High And Dry Towel Company. They have a separate line for people with reservations. At that time you may get an option for a specific cabana; so it is first-come, first-served.

They are 319.50 for September :scared1: If DD wasn't going to be so little then I wouldn't bother, but I need this or the cheaper version for her.:umbrella:

Can anyone tell me how many towels you get per person? Also (probably stupid question): are the "private lockers" in the cabanas themselves, or just a regular locker?

Finally, does anyone know where the cabanas are located at Typhoon Lagoon? I know at least one overlooks the wave pool.

When I went, it was 2 towels each to start, but could ask for more.
The locker is 'in' the cabana, very handy.
