Hi I have been hearing that you have to reserve a certain number of hotel rooms for your guests. Does my DF and I have to pay that or do our guests pay for their rooms. We are on a budget for our custom wedding and it would be crazy of I had to pay for all those rooms. Also if we dont have to pay for their rooms, do we have to pay upfront for their rooms. A little confused.
Please I need advice
Thx :bride:

Hi!

I don't know out of experience, but I do know that you don't have to pay for your guests' rooms. They can pay themselves. I'm not sure if you have to pay upfront though. I'm sure someone else will be able to tell you more!

Congrats!

Your guests pay for the rooms.. of course, you could pay for them if you wanted. Disney will send a save the date to your guests, with a sheet to fill out if they want to make a reservation.

Based on the number of guests, you will have a minimum number of room nights you will have to block out. You can block out 20% above this minimum. I think that if you do not meet the minimum, you have to make up the difference.. but honestly, don't worry too much about that (unless *everyone* lives in orlando and won't be staying on property!) the minimum is pretty low and seems to work out to 1-2 nights per person/couple.. and if all else fails, you can always post on the dis folks, I'm sure folks will be glad to help you out with your discounted room rate, or give you their ressie number to apply to help fill in the gaps.
