Do they still do still seating for Fantasmic, and if so, how does it work for the 10:30 show after watching the 9:25 fireworks from the hub?

We'll be there only one day it's showing (Sunday) and I'm thinking the reserved seating might be a good idea.

When you pick up the tickets they will tell you check in time, has been 1900. Check in earlier if you can, there was a line when we were there at 1835,so we waited. The seats are assigned based on checkin time..there were many who people who showed around 1900 or after who were not thrilled with the seats they were assigned. I really never saw a real bad seat, some are just better.

I just got back had awsome seats!!!! I got there at 630pmi was the 1st in line and got the best seasts!!! This was last Sundays 90pm show!!!!...Have dinner reservation at Blue Boyu at 700pm then when you are finished with dinner 830pm go to the show!!! ENJOY IT!!!

I wasn't going to spend the extra money for the Dessert Seating (my DDs are old enough to need adult tickets) but I just signed a big contract and I'm going for it! Can wait!

I am not sure if I am understanding you right. Are saying that you had reserved seats, but still had to wait 2 1/2 hours for one of the better seats? If so, that is disheartening. We may not do the show after all. I thought the whole point of reserved seats was so you wouldn't have to wait hours for a good seat.

DF and I had reserved seats with this on our engagement night! We were the very last ones to arrive - about 15 min before the show started. We watched the electrical parade, then went over for the fireworks. We took a smoke break for DF and took foreverrrr to get through the crowd to get out the reserved seats. We were happy with the seats, and I was soooooo unspeakably glad to have an actual seat. I'm not sure exactly when we checked in, but it was nowhere near the beginning of the check-in time. DF had done this as a surprise and so I could not urge him to go right away, haha. We had a reservation for dinner at like, 6:30 in CA so we probably didn't get there until at least 7:30.
It works that, you pick up the tickets. Then at that specific time these people are saying, you go to the check-in area to reserve the seats. After that you go do what you want, and come back for Fantasmic when you're ready.

Here's some pictures from it: (they're terrible pics, but you can get an idea of our view) link to all of the pictures

I would do the package again just for the convenience of having a seat and not having to wait for the fireworks. We also went at the end of August so it was still pretty crowded.

Sorry I chacked it (stood in line at 630) then once i checked in i went to dinner at BB the after dinner at 830pm went to the show (desert) 9pm show time...It was excellent!!!

We're looking at doing the 10:30 showing, not the 9:00.

How does that change anything? What is the cost of the reserved seating per person (niece 10yo).

We're doing the 10:30 so we can see the fireworks from the hub since that's the only time they will have them during our stay. We have done the first Fantasmic, and watched the fireworks from there in 2005, and it's just not the same.

Dh and I did the 10pm showing of Fantasmic last year but we still had to check in at 9pm. We didn't think we would have to check in that early, we were in the area and people were getting ready for the first showing so we thought we'd ask one of the cm's where we'd go to check in when it was our turn to check in. As it turned out they were checking ppl already for the second show and the first one hadn't started yet. We were the 2nd group to check in and in the middle of signing our names the first showing started.

So while you don't have to sit and wait for two hours you do need to check in early to choose the seats you want. Hope that made sense, I used the term check in a lot in that paragraph.

Aloha,

Does anybody know if they have the Fantasmic Show during November 30th to December 9th, we will be there that time and we always see this show w/ the special seating, we love this and would like to see it again?

also, how do you get to watch the fireworks from the seating? which show do you reserve?

The fireworks are usually in between the first and second shows, so if you wanted to watch the fireworks from the reserved seating you would have to reserve the first Fantasmic show at 9:00pm. HTH! :)

One more question...

When you check in, do you need everyone from your party to check in, or can you just have one person do it ??

You only need one person to check in but when they call your name everyone is supposed to be there..sometimes they will let you wait for a couple of minutes for your party to show but not long. This is what we experienced during the very busy time.
