We will be at disneyland in june for 1 day. We would love to see the parade and fireworks, but I don't want to devote 3+ hours of our single day there to securing a spot. Are there alternatives? All I could find is the VIP tour, which is $2400 for 6 hours, which is too much.

Are there people that you can pay to save you a spot? Are there ways to reserve a spot through disney? I don't mind paying for the service if its available, just can't justify $2400...

You can book a Paint the Night dining package. It gets you a reserved spot for the parade, you have to move up and grab a spot for fireworks right after.

We just returned from a 3 night trip. If you can get a reservation I highly recommend the World of Color Dessert party. It is well worth it and you will enjoy a great seat.

We also tried the Blue Bayou Paint the Night dining package (Sunday night). I would be reluctant to recommend this package. We dined at 6:15 PM and were offered tickets to the 8:50 show. We arrived at 7:30 - the reserved section is across from the train station - facing AWAY from Main Street. There was plenty of space and everyone had a decent view (no seats - only curb seating and 2 very small benches that will be quickly taken when the rope drops 30 minutes prior to the parade start time).

The parade does not arrive until 9:10 or so, so we waited for over 90 minutes for the parade. My biggest complaint was that I wanted to see the fireworks even more than the parade. You cannot view the full firework show from the PTN reserved viewing spot. You will have to TRY to swim upstream through a VERY CROWDED Main Street to find a viewing spot. This was stressful and not optimal.

At 7:30, we (party of 3) could have easily secured a spot along Main Street to view both the parade and fireworks. I would not do the BB PTN package again. My husband said that he would as he liked the tiny bench for parade viewing.

Everyone has different priorities.

Only way to get into the "VIP Areas" is be an actual VIP, Know someone that can pull strings, be a Club 33 Member, book a VIP Tour as you found out, and occasionally some of the other guided tours scored you a seat but I do not think any of the current offerings do...Guest Relations could answer that question.

Next tier down as mentioned are the dining packages for WOC and Paint the Night where you buy a meal and get a fastpass for a decent reserved viewing area. Noting specifically for Fireworks unfortunately.

New also that just came out that might be kinda what you are looking for is the WOC Dessert Seating where you get actual seat and a dessert plate. Doing that tomorrow night for the first time and looking forward to it!

Here is a thread on that:

Thanks for the advice!

I booked the dessert party for Friday the 17th.

Unfortunately blue bayou is only available at 810 for Thursday. That wouldn't give us time for the parade. Maybe we will do aladdins oasis for lunch.

If you attend the second PTN seats are very easy to get. On Memorial Day weekend we literally got off Alice as the parade started and walked up to the rope between Teacups and Alice and were maybe 3 rows of people back with great views.

Oh wow this is so different than our BB PTN dining experience back in January. Our section was right across from Market House and we had curb seats since we arrived early enough. It was perfect so I wonder if they changed sections now.

They moved it a couple of months back. We were bummed, would have done it but the new location and issue with fireworks viewing is a deal breaker.

Oh wow that sucks , yeah I wouldn't do that either then. The location we had was awesome because we just piled into main street for fireworks and had a great view too.
