Reserved holiday tour!

I looked up the time and it says 2.5 to 3 hours, don't know if that includes the parade time.

$59 regular 20 0/0 off for ap holders

I wonder if a 4 year old would get bored??????
Yeah, I don't know. But rides, parades, and cookies with hot chocolate are his favorite things! ;)

You will love it. We did the tour last December, and it is hands down the best thing we have ever done at DL. My whole family loved it. We also did the 4:30 tour.

We had a really great tour guide. You get headsets so that you can hear him (everyone wears headphones), and he told Christmas stories and sang songs for us. He programed his Ipod with Christmas songs (some Disney, others like Nat King Cole) and piped that over our headphones so that we listened to them as we walked the park. You get to walk on the rides Haunted Mansion and It's A Small World, and ride the train. At the end of the tour you sit in special seats for the parade (and they are great--all of the characters in the parade paid lots of attention to us!) and drink your hot chocolate and eat your Christmas cookies.

That sounds so fantastic. I can't wait to do it! Unfortunately we have to wait to book til 30 days. :headache: Does anyone know if they do it on Christmas day? :santa:

Ok, stupid question time, how do you book the tour if you are not using VP. I looked on the Disneyland website and I don't see anything about the tour. Also I see they give the AP discount but do you know if they do a AAA or Disney Visa discount? Thanks.

Great questions! I'm wondering the same since we are not using VP. I think if you don't use VP you can't book until 30 days before your date of going and I think you do get a discount for the Disney Visa. I would love someone to confirm though. :goodvibes

I asked this on the other holiday tour thread, but I think it got lost. What days are is the tour offered? Everyday?

Thanks! I will call to find out when they plan on making the details available since I won't be able to book for about 2 weeks. I would like to see the information for this year to make sure it will include the things previous posters have mentioned.

Thanks for posting this.

It sounds like alot of fun.

Now a few questions..

How much walking is it? We are taking three 65 and up and three 6 and under. Would this be a tour for this age group?

Also do they have an alternative to the hot chocolate for the children?

The mugs are the ceramic/china ones?

Once again thanks for posting, i had not heard of this tour.

Did you find anything out? They are probably waiting to release the information until Halloween is over.

We did the tour 2 years ago when my DD was 6. She loved it but then again she loves all things DL just like me. We worried about her getting tired, because frankly she can be pretty whiny about a lot of walking, so we just took a stroller. I don't think they strongly encourage taking strollers but they are allowed. I could see how if it is extremely crowded sometimes it is could be trying to stay close to the group. However, we didn't have any problem. We were also very fortunate to get a guide who was wonderful with my DD.

I am really glad we did the tour. Up until that time my DD had been afraid to ride on HM but afterwards it became on of her favorite rides. Also, we loved the seats to watch the parade and the hot chocolate and cookie. That was the best gingerbread I have ever tasted!

I called and I always think it is funny when us DISers have more information than the CM's. The girl I spoke to said they probably wouldn't release the information until after Halloween but that we all she knew. She couldn't give me dates or prices so.... I will keep an eye on the web site and call back next weekend to see if they have any details by then.

I had that problem too. I called to find out if they knew what special menus for Christmas yet. I was told there was no information but that the restaurants would all be open. Gee, thanks!

This morning when I called to make a dinner reservation for Christmas Eve the CM told me that they expected to find out about holiday dining options for Christmas/Christmas Eve over the weekend. However, I'm not holding my breath and so I went ahead and booked Storyteller's for dinner on the 24th and I'll call back tomorrow morning to book Minnie's for Christmas brunch (last seating).

We have done storytellers on christmas eve...it was nice. The carolers were out and about...felt warm and cozy.

When you book the tour do you pay then? I am so excited for this tour!!

Just booked ours for November 23rd for the late one. No AAA discount this year but they do give Ap and Disney Visa discounts. We don't have a Disney Visa but we do have a Chase Visa (Chase underrights the Disney Visa) Guess what. The two cards start with the same 4 digits so the CM gave me the Disney Visa discount- 20%!!!! :cool1:

Woohoo!! I just booked our tour today too...same as yours!! See you on the tour, ballarinamom!:cool1: :thumbsup2

ETA: If you have a package with AAA, you get 20% off at least some of the tours. I ordered our Oct. DL hoppers & vouchers for Ariel's through AAA and got a diamond card, which says you get 20% off tours. It doesn't specifically mention the holiday tour, though.

We booked BB for Christmas dinner. Hoping to do the parade, eat and then Fantasmic. :thumbsup2
