Reserve A Free Stroller!

I use clear ponchos from the dollar store all the time & they work great. Plus when it stops raining I can just pitch it into the trash and not have to worry about folding & transporting a wet cover.

Or you could just buy one and bring it with you. Find a PVC free one online such as Protect-a-bub (a lot safer for your child than a poncho if you plan on having them in it when you have to cover it), and then you aren't throwing away lots of plastic from a one time use and it would be sturdier.

Thanks for the information, I just reserved my double stroller for 7 days also. Here is my question though, I reserved mine without putting my credit card info. in so how do they get payment from me, I am guessing I need to be there for drop off and for pick up??? Anyone know??? Will they leave it with bell services???

They will contact you for payment. That information might also be in the confirmation email.

Yes you do receive a confirmation e-mail (Remember to check your junk folder just in case). The message in the e-mail I received is as follows;
Kindly provide us with your credit card number along with the expiration date, 3 days prior to your arrival, via the following link at our secure server

I hope this info. is helpful for others. :wave2:

Hi all,

This looks like a great deal. I was planning on just bringing DD's Maclaren (she will be 2, and it is our normal go-to strolłer). We have a Quest which reclines and has a little basket and sunshade (I think we have a raincover somewhere too). Any reason we should rent one of these city minis vs. just bringing along our stroller?

Thanks

Shade and storage. We brought our Maclaren quest for use in airport and at night . But for hardcore park touring days, the City Mini was the bomb. HUGE sunshade. You can pull it down to where only their feet are showing. My super fair DD didn't get a sunburn at all and was protected from rain, too.

These strollers do not come with a parent console or cooler like some of the other off site companies, and some of the off site companies also deliver cases of water too. We decided to go with Kingdom Strollers because of that, but the Apple Strollers thing is a good deal if you don't care about those things.

I have decided to cancel my reservation. I cancelled because I really want the city elite. We rented from kingdom strollers ( the double elite) in August and were extremely happy. I decided to use them again. I did not want to downsize the stroller. Good luck everyone and thanks again op

Thank you op! Just rented our for our stay in June! This beats an umbrella stroller any day!:thumbsup2

About the rain covers- we have tried 3 ways, with the custom rain cover, with a generic cheap rain cover and with disposable ponchos.

I would definitely use the ponchos over a cover that doesn't really fit -the generic ones won't keep their feet dry, or sometimes have an odd gap over some of your stuff, or just shift funny. So you can save a few bucks there, but after using the rain cover built for the stroller we were using we are completely spoiled. It was SO NICE! The kids can hang out in the stroller, there are air vents, their feet are dry from stray drops and splashes and your stuff stays dry too. It can also be used to stop balloons from leaving the stroller if you have to leave them behind.
We just left the rain cover on the stroller the entire trip, sort of folded back so it sits right in front of the handle bar. When we went into a show or it started to rain you just toss it forward and you are done. It was just a casual toss as you are walking sort of movement, no stopping and fumbling. The stroller folds up as if it isn't even there.

Thanks! We love the Quest and take it everywhere, but we aren't usually outside all day, and with the FL sun a more robust sunshade will be good! Our DD is also very fair skinned and we are doing DCL after the parks, so anything we can do to prevent burns is a good thing:thumbsup2

Is the City Mini easy to steer (can you steer one-handed)?

The citi minis steer great- the rental companies really are renting out good strollers, not cheap ones. I actually have taken my kids to the store and checked out the models we were looking at renting to see what they liked- the citi mini was their favorite stroller in the store. We have been searching around for a local place that sells BOB strollers so we can compare but it looks like we have to drive about 50 miles to get to one. :headache:

FYI I live locally & have a little one so i am in babies r us on a regular basis. Our babies r us has a big sign up front about their rental program. They rent several different kinds of strollers for good prices (single city mini $5/day) and when you pick up or they deliver your stroller ($20 flat fee if I recall correctly for delivery but pickup is free) they will also deliver (or have ready for pick-up) diapers, wipes, food pouches...any baby essentials they sell you might need. They also rent baby toys & other baby gear. You can add select accessories like the parent console to your stroller for free. Might be worth looking into if you need more than just a stroller but I also thought stroller rental prices were really reasonable. I think select babies r us stores in high tourist areas have this rental program and Orlando babies r us happens to be one of those stores. There is a website on the sign so if you google babies r us rentals I'm sure you can find the info.

ETA: I found the website & they include stroller fans & rain covers free! You can even rent smart trikes & wagons for pretty cheap (allowed at Sea World but not Disney, we always bring our smart trike to Sea World for my stroller hating daughter!). Not sure about added fees but worth looking into.

I just rented for Nov 30th through Dec 6th and the $5 rate (insurance) was available for that timeframe.

Perfect. This will be a great chance to check these strollers out, I've heard really good things! DH hated steering our stroller frame with the carseat but loves the quest, so he will likely approve of the city mini! We are set on single strollers (for non-Disney use), but will hopefully be in the market for a double at some point in the next few years, so "test driving" a city mini will be a good thing:thumbsup2

Quick question- I am looking into this but have never used an outside company. We are arriving early on a Monday in June and leaving grounds late Friday night but not staying on site Friday night, just every other night. Would I need to return the stroller Friday before we use it and only rent it monday-thursday and then just pay the 31$ for the double at WDW for a day?

Also- how compact are these? I drive a Kia Spectra- would it fit in my trunk? I know that the sit and stands hardly fit in my trunk. Thanks!

Thanks so much for posting this! :goodvibes. Just reserved a single for 4 days for 21.30 total! Now I just need to decide whether to actually keep the ressie or bring our b-agile from home. Renting would actually be cheaper because I was planning on buying a gate check bag for $35, but then we wouldn't have a stroller for the airport. Then again not sure how much we'll actually use the stroller at the airport and it would be one less thing to lug around. Hmmmh...:scratchin
