Reservatoin question.

Planning a trip next date removed and we're going to be about *** points shy to make a reservatoin for the time we want. What is the best way to get the extra points? I'm fine renting them, but can they transfer them into my account so I can make the entire reservation or will someone have to make a one day reservation for us?

We've never been in this situation before but we had to borrow just a few too many points for another reservation which put us a little short.

Any help is appreciated.

You could always book one less night and pay cash for it. That would be another option. You can get 24 point from DVC if you still need a few to make up the difference in points.

I have never rented or transfered or borrowed so far so I cannot help you there.

You could have another owner transfer points into your account. But the same booking rules will apply......ie 7 or 11 month window.

You may find it difficult to find a member willing to use their one transfer a UY on so few points. If you are booking during the home resort priority period, the transfer would need to be for the same home resort you are booking. Transfered points retain their original home resort and use year.

If you went the 'rental' option, the other member would need to make the reservation and they would have complete control over that reservation because it's their points.
