I've been reading the various post here regarding "reservations" at the restaurants in US/IOA. And I'm quite confussed.

From what I see you can make a reservation 30 days out at some restaurants. But....some stop taking the ressies at a certain point and suggest you "walk in" and take your chances. I'm not staying on site so I dont have that luxury of "flashing the room key". :)

Obviously from my signature I still have time. But I'm getting a little discouraged. I'm in the planning stages of our vacation and I'm trying to set up dining plans.

ANY suggestions and or advice would be greatly appreciated! ;)

I have NEVER made ressie's for ANY resturant at us/ioa or citywalk for that matter. I truly can't see why you'd need to either. Most you just walk up and are seated. We ususally eat around 11:30 for lunch and 8 or so for supper. Now Margaritville is a different story but i don't think they take ressies or that use to be the case. If your willing to set on the outside covered porch where the live music will be in the evening it's very very fun. The stilt walkers are out there too! It's a wonderful fun atmosphere and the breeze keeps you plenty cool. There is not a wait you just pick a table or you may have to give them time to clean the next available table but in 5 minutes you can be sitting down. The services is just as great as inside and according to where you sit you can still see the volcano blow!LOL Hard Rock could be a pickle at peak lunch hours but i really don't see why you'd want to eat there it's just okay food at best. I suggest margaritville or lunch or dinner and mythos the same. If you take the boat to PBH make ressies at Mama Della's it's so worth your time.

Partyofsix - thanks for the information.

I've never eaten at any of the restaurants at US/IOA and thought it would be nice this trip.

I'll keep what you said in mind.

Now I'll check out the menus to see what looks good. Margaritaville sounds wonderful!

Thanks again............
