We're off on our very first DLP trip in a few weeks, and I was wondering which restaurants/experiences you would recommend getting reservations for, and when/how one would go about getting said reservations. Mainly we're looking at dining, the princess makeover, and a cake for our daughter's birthday celebration at one of the restaurants. We're WDW and DL pros here, but DLP eludes us entirely. Thanks so much! :)

Hi Missus Toad :goodvibes

We just got back from DLP yesterday so it's all fresh in my mind :cloud9:

I phoned the reservation line (+33 (0) 1 60 30 40 50) about a month before we went to book the character lunches I wanted - Cowboy Cookout, Cafe Mickey and Auberge De Cendrillon.... the latter is a MUST DO (imo) if you're travelling with a little princess/prince :thumbsup2

My DH also arranged for us to have a Birthday cake at Auberge (it was my birthday ) and he did this while we were there.

As for the Princess Makeover, I believe you book this directly with the Disneyland Hotel.... there're a couple of threads on here re this.

Happy Planning.. and have a Magical Trip when it comes :wizard:

Thanks for the advice! We're considering Auberge, but price/menu could be daunting-- otherwise, we'd love it! I think I saw a negative review from you re: Cowboy Cookout-- I'm guessing you wouldn't return? Thanks again.

Cafe Mickey is always a must for an evening meal for us, the food isn't wonderful, but its nice enough, the character interaction is what keeps us going back, it's wonderful :goodvibes

:confused3 Not sure it was me.... we liked the Cowboy Cookout! DH and I had lovely salad followed by a great burger and wedges and the character interaction was fantastic!!

(Maybe you're thinking of our experience at Chuckwagon with our "friend" the mouse :rolleyes1).

That's it! I knew it was someplace with a cowboy theme. Yikes! Glad you straightened me out about that. :)

Thanks, and thanks to TTF as well!

We reserved all our table service meals by phoning the booking reservation line. At the same time I asked for a cake at cafe mickey and when we arrived it was noted on the reservation and they brought it out once we had finished our meal. :goodvibes

Once you are there you can make/change reservations at city hall in the disneyland park or at the concierge desk in your hotel if you are staying onsite.
