Reservations Through Disney or OpenTable?

During our December trip, we will be eating at a couple of Disney Springs restaurants that can be reserved through Disney or OpenTable. We are not on the dining plan. Are there any advantages to making reservations one way over the other?

I agree with this! Just a note that a few restaurants do not book at 180 days. I know Morimoto books 90 days in advance and frontera used to book at 60 but I have not checked recently though.

Yep, this. I couldn't book Raglan Road until well after the 180-day mark (though there were tons of ressies available on OT). I did end up switching mine to make it through WDW when it finally became available because it was making me crazy that it wasn't showing up in my itinerary on MDE, but if you're not an obsessive freak like me then you should be fine with OT

I wish Open Table had more particpating Disney restaurants. I somewhat recently tried to book Raglan Road thru MDE and there was nothing available but I got exactly what I wanted thru Open Table - and as already pointed out no credit card guarantee. Disney is a royal pain when it comes to booking ADR's now.

I definitely would book through Open Table! They have more times available and it is much easier to change the reservations. They will send you reminders through email.
