Reservations Required for T-Rex?

We are leaving for Disney in 2 weeks. My boss at work gave me a GC at Christmas that I can use at T-Rex and did not realize until this week it was part of the DP options. When we made all of our other reservations, we did not make them for T-Rex because we figured even if we "walked" up we could shop the DD area while we waited. Are reservations required or do they accommodate walk-ins?? We can make reservations at lunch time, but don't want to commit to going to DD at lunch.

They do take walk-ins, but it can be a long wait - I've heard of hour+ waits. I would make a reservation if you really want to eat there - you can call them directly for reservations vs. doing it through the Disney site.

I would treat it like any other restaurant on the dining plan, if you want to be certain you will get to eat there at a specific time (especially a peak dining time) without a long wait, make a reservation. Call them directly for a priority seating. They have much more available than they release to Disney for booking through their system.

Thank you for the advice!! Even though Disney web indicated no availble times, I called direct to T-Rex and got reservations no problem!!!

When we walked through DD this past Feb at dinner time, there were huge lines. Make sure that if you have a ADR you make your move up to the podium, dont wait in that line to check in... you will be there til breakfast ;)
